Make it hard to read or navigate?

I do not find it hard to read or navigate.
With 6 posts of course you wouldn't.
It it your first day on a forum guy?
It deleted all of my posts when the new site launched.
Ha low post counts dont mean someone is new.
i read several people from old gamspot say they were going to make new accounts since they didnt like their current username.
and of course people lost posts during the transition. i lost 500 posts during the transition
The only thing they made easier is to actually post.
Layout is horrible, boards were straight up killed.(RIP LEGACY)
Site even slower than before to load threads and boards.

Right....
Well then you're an idiot for actually liking this atrocity.
Aww thank you, you are ever so kind sir.

I lost a few thousand myself, but certainly not as many as some people lost.
Honestly they only have a few minor things to tweak like sigs, usernames cut off on the left, quick reply, unread posts, and things like that. Boards they can create with ease when they're done with the bugs. This forum seems faster and smoother than the last one - when it decides to load.
I think the objective of this layout was just something "different". Whether "different" is good or bad is another story.
I actually like the new posting, I think once everything gets ironed out along with the new Terms of Use that things will actually be better around here again.

Posting feels the same to me. I miss the spell checker and the preview post though. I agree that once things are ironed out things should pick up. I do like the old look more though.

Yeah, I miss some things about the old look, but so far it has evened out with things I like about the new look, and in time those features may even be added back as well. Quick Quote would be nice to be added back to make multi quoting easier though, but my browser does spellcheck anyways so it's not needed for me as a posting option here, the quote trees are much nicer now though, and how your post is submitted is much smoother. :)

Yeah, I made a new account. On my old one, I lost a lot and was bumped down an entire level as a result.

Yeah I find the forums a lot more usable now. Except for the part where the topics give no indication that a new post has been posted since you last looked.
The layout is so similar to Giant Bomb they might as well go all the way and take good features like quick links do the different boards in a drop-down on the community tab and giving indication that you've visited a topic.

I've actually never been to Giant Bomb but that's what I don't like most about the forum here, is how hard it is to tell if you've even visited a thread, along with the lack of being able to go to the last post you were at like on the old one with the (new posts) in parenthesis. Although the little >> taking you to the last post works ok and you can see who the last person to post in the thread was and how long ago it was at least.

How does making a forum look like a glorified comment section make it more usable?
To confuse? I kid I kid.
Well, they're actually doing a good job at TBH.
I don't want to click on profile because I don't understand what I'm looking at half the time and I get lost.
Yeah I uploaded my sig a few times and I don't know how to delete images.:(
I find it amusing that double_decker suddenly has fewer posts than LJ. A hundred thousands posts for naught.
If they think this looks unique in any kind of way they're fucking idiots.
nobody thinks that, this is exactly the same layout as giantbomb's.
Which is the only reason why I never go into giantbomb.
@Guppy507:
At least things are quicker no more errors
Quicker? are we using the same site?

I said the same thing not too long ago.
Giant Bomb's forum is complete shit.
Objective? Easy, to be like everyone else, (All corps web sites) make things seem more jumbled up and harder to navigate, also, it appears uniqueness and creativity is now a thing of the past, quite sad really.
I guess we're trying to be hip and "in with it" like the young teeny boppers. lol
Anyways, the current Site layout is horrendous.
I wonder if the web designers are familiar with the term "Usability." They clearly can't be.

hey atleast we can curse now.... but you have to go through every single post to find your last post ina thread now, theres no more (#). makes it impossible to have conversations with people
That's my biggest problem with the new forums.
I like the new site for the most part. My main criticism at the moment is that there is no 'go to first unread post' button in the forums anymore, or if there is I haven't found it yet.
I don't mind change and all but anyone else gets lag while trying to navigate or just do anything on here? I remember trying to sign in then posting yesterday but it was so laggy and I posted a blank post and instead of editing it, I just close the damn page. This site doesn't work well on mobile devices like iPads for me.
