What the heck is with trollers these days?

I mean really, from recent trolling threads I can tell people are becoming really bad at it. They have no styl*e, no feeling, no passion, they're not doing it right! *shakes head* I mean they can at least make the threads entertaining :( I miss the trollers of the past, they had experience, and skill. These guys try too hard.

We need some good trollers... it's just a shame... smh.

Simple. They can get their desired result with a fraction of the effort, so they do it. I have an account of Last.fm and the Iron Maiden shoutbox in particular has been trolled on and off for a few years by the same guy. He pops in every few days or weeks, says "this band sucks" and the next 20 comments are of people raging at him. People who troll simply do it to illicit a reaction. As long as they get their reactions, they'll continue trolling.

I retired a year ago. :P

The problem is that people who are really adept at trolling always end up encountering the banhammer eventually. As they hone their skills, they rack up moderations, until they pick up one too many, and then BAM. Maybe we should have an exception for top shelf trolls. Elraptor

You should, trolls who are really good and don't actually explicitly seem like their trolling (which are the best ones) and don't flame or insult other users you should go easier on, they bring lulz to GS with all the super serious threads, there haven't been any really good troll threads in a really long time.

Maybe you should open up a private college OP!! Think of all the extra income!!

Trolling is an art! I used to troll, this site but the mods (for some reason) always knew I was trolling! Can't trick these mods.
