I worked at Gamestop for a few months way back when. Was a horrid job. They had me calling preorder customers. "Hi, this is Alli at Gamestop! You better come get your new Madden 2000 game before I toss it in the employee toilet back here. You don't wanna know what they do in there. Freaky stuff. End of days stuff." They made me alphabetize strategy guides on the shelf and once they were nice and neat, some sticky fingered rugrat always came in and took out about 50 of em to read, spreading them all over the floor, and then he'd run off and I'd have to put em back. I did get to work at the midnight launch of the Gamecube and XBox though. I tried to convince everyone in line not to buy this generic shooter that had just come out, something called "Halo", I'm sure none of you have heard of it. >.>Allicrombie
I know one dude that works there that was literally on the job telling me how bad it was working there and how much he didn't like the one manager. We talked about that for like an hour after the place was supposed to be closed lol.
[QUOTE="whiskeystrike"]i guess u quit after a day?I worked at Wafflehouse for a day...

yup
Grocery bagger. It doesn't get much crappier or more boring than that.
That being said, it was in a wealthy neighborhood, and I was required to carry the groceries out to the cars. With tips, I was pulling in around $20/hr.
security in a rich area where nothing happens and everyone looked and talked down to me because i was security....this is actually my current job, i am anticipating the day when something happens so than maybe they can respect me when i am the only one that responds due to my experience at sites that are in worse areas.
im not really liking my job all too well right now, i mean i love working with kids dont get me wrong but my boss is a TOTAL BYUTCH, she expects everything to be perfect as soon as she enters the building and if one thing is off she yells at the entire staff, plus shes always playing around with the kids and when the kids get loud she leaves it to us the hard task of calming them down after she just came in there and made them loud, But the worst part of dealing with her are the fake smiles and laughs i always have to pull out my @ss when she says a stupid joke and expects us to laugh. ugh thank god im leaving in 4 weeks. oh and the one of the worst things about this dayum job is that we get paid every 3 weeks. 3 F#KING WEEKS of having to wait to get paid, and when you do get paid your behind on the stuff you have to pay for anyways that the check just gets blown away in a couple of days and then you have to wait another 3 WEEKS for another pay check. oh and not to mention it takes me 2 hours just to get to the place since i have to take the bus, and i dont have a car right now, im not even exaggerating, 2 hours there and then 2 hours back when im done, i have to take 3 busses. if i had a car though, it would only take me about 40 mins, cause my brother has given me rides be4 but he cant do it everytime, but anyways im done ranting. what about the rest of OT? whats the worst job youve had??

Don't you tell her off? Around here, you don't get fired for retorting.
I have no sympathy for the issue of salary. Youcould just administer your money better, possibly deposit your projected expenses on an alternate account.
Worked at PPG mixing powder coatings for a short time. Hated that job. You had to dress up in hot P.P.E. and I still would came home a different color every night. They were always understaffed so it meant mandatory overtime every day. I didn't stay there long.
Honorable Mention - Working Debug for Dell. Talk about one of the most poorly managed companies from the manufacturing level. It's a wonder they are still in business.
