Everything, I love and hate computers  I suppose the most recent one was where my motherboard failed so it went into the repair shop for a new one. Then I wanted a graphics card (that's right, not a new one, just one!) and the one I bought online was faulty but I didn't know that so I spent months trying different things to get it to work, including buying a bigger power supply. Then I gave up and took it to the repair shop where they said it was faulty and put in a new graphics card and 2gb of ram so L4D would work.

Then on my first night of playing my computer overheated and switched off - my fan system was too passive and was circulating heat so I took it back in and they installed a better fan system. All in all it took me about 4 months to sort out and 275 quid. That reminds me, I need to give Hero a good kick up the arse to send the faulty graphics card back as it's still sat on his coffee table o_O

Hmmm...either when Windows kept crashing forcing me to reformat the hard drive...or when it was making this horrible high pitched beeping/whistling noise every time I turned it on...sorted both problems out easily enough when I put my mind to not being lazy about fixing it, lol.

T_T Multiple problems that piss me off like FEAR capping itself at 30fps for some reason, video display restarting itself in Crysis, my mobo destroying all ATi cards. There's many.

I had that happen. Though it was with my DLP tv. And it was the colorwheel that broke into a million pieces. That was an interesting thing to fix :)

Oh, too many to pick just one. They mostly involve networking (like the problem I'm having right now with my LAN connection cutting out randomly), except for the problem I had just a month ago while trying to play Neverwinter Nights. The version I had apparently shipped with a broken EXE on the disk, so when I tried running the game, it just ran in the background doing nothing. I tried many fixes before giving up in disgust.

Trying to install the Sims back in 2001.

I got it to work eventually, but it took forever.

My current problem is that there's no Windows C++ compiler that actually works.

Quit kidding yourself. Everyone knows that when Windows OS is involved, intelligence, resources, and common sense all go to hell.

my computer's disk drive and USB simultaneously failing due to faulty ram. no mouse, no keyboard, no OS boot disks, just had to do it all by messing with hardware.
