Generation Y

First off let me clarify

No people born from 1960 to 1980

If you graduated High School in the 90's, NOT YOU

If Nirvana was a new band when you were in middle or high school NOT YOU

Though you can give you opinion on us.

Ok i'm talking about this current generation, of skinny jean wearing, screamo loving, twilight,Anime generation, internet generation Kanye/little wayne, Judd Apatow movie lovinng kids. What do you think this generation will be remembered for? Do you think it'll be more mediocre or great?

The I'm giving the small idea, you guys bring the big ideas. It's a discussion, please no terrible arguments. I don't want anyone getting suspended/banned.

Also forgot to clarify, if you guys feel that you aren't lumped in with the masses, then that's ok. This is about the mass of whats popular of teens today the "fit in" masses.

We will clearly be remembered for how awesome I am :P

Seriously though, we'll be remembered for being incredibly lazy.

I'm going with what previous generations complain about from the current generation. When you hear someone from a generation before this one they always complain about how lazy kids are these days.

I'm guessing that he just used Ghost face for the hip-hop aspect, don't get all hostile, please.

That's an unfair comparison if I ever saw one. Those three types of people don't make up the entire current generation, and not everyone in the your so called "greatest generation" was a war hero, or even involved in the war.

Oh please. So destroying a great evil negates the fact that racism was quite widespread and in many cases, encouraged? There is no such thing as the "Greatest Generation." Every single one has their own low, and high, points.

You're right, lets just forget the Jim Crow laws and all the thousands that were wrongfully put to jail/executed just because of their skin tone. Awesome generation if you ask me.

Not the mention the displacement and imprisonment of American Asian families just because we were at war with Japan. Seriously, a war doesn't automatically make any decade the greatest generation. That generation was happy enough to sit on the sidelines while our allies were dying until the could get an attack on US soil. Not to mention financial policies that have been failing since they started, the witch-hunt McCarthyism, and etc. I'm not dismissing them or their contributions, I just hate the "greatest generation" title they assumed, and dislike when anyone only looks at positives.

Yeah don't be so sure about that, those people fought one of the greatest wars, was the generation that participated in the civil rights movment, along with early boomers. And braved the great depression, yes... I wouldn't put ghost face over those men and women, it's the truest. What's the worst now? Some over blown recession that's already easing up, a war that at it's core is misguided, and a bunch of cry babies who cry when they get pickles on their burger at the McD's Don't diss them.

....they are also the generation who put Asian-Americans in camps and allowed blatant racism to spread like wildfire. For the last time, there is no "greatest generation."

I'm getting a weird vibe that this generation would be better if we fought in a WW3 as the good guys. Really if we could not have such a war that would be a great achievement.

From what I've observed, this generation is ambitious but lazy and lacking in motivation. I don't know if we'll do great things, bad things, or just mediocre things.
