Investigations like that completely ruin your credit as a Marine, and the people doing them HAVE to be incredibly thorough. Getting accused of that shit ruins you in the Armed Forces.

Realistically, any guy that gets accused of rape would probably get their life destroyed. No matter if they're innocent or not. It'll become such a mud-slinging contest that the court of public opinion would basically **** you over.
