Depending on the conditions, I always would spark a conversation. One of my favorite ways to start a conversation is pressing down really hard on my pencil to break it then under my breath let out a little cuss and turn to her and ask for a pencil sharpner.

As long as you can keep a conversation going, you should be able to go off of that one line. Start with something like "Wait, I've seen you around.." or talk about your courses. Try to end it with getting her number :P
