The big problem with that is that it would make it more difficult for us to do our job, especially when we need to moderate people who are our friends, or who are notorious for not taking moderations well. Also, I have no interest whatsoever in being bombarded with PMs from every user I moderate demanding explanations when the reason, more often than not, should have been completely clear to the user.

Trust me - if you were a moderator, you would not want to be on call 24/7, and you would not want to dread moderating 20 posts, knowing you'll be dealing with 15 angry PMs later that day.

Oh, and I also think they should remove the thumbs up / thumbs down stuff. At least have the options to remove them in blogs. (or at least have only thumbs up in blogs).the_foreign_guy
