If someone actually proved god exists, I'd side with Satan (which should also exists if god does).ForsakenWicked
I would have to agree, especially if its the Christan god
I'd probably become really confused as to why an all powerful supremely good omnipotent beiong would allow people to be born with the knowledge their souls would be forever tortured in hell.
Same reason an all loving mother tells their children not to ride skateboards. :)I'd probably become really confused as to why an all powerful supremely good omnipotent beiong would allow people to be born with the knowledge their souls would be forever tortured in hell.

I do not think you know you're going to burn when you're a baby.

Who will ultimately lose and be tortured for the rest of eternity. That's who you're siding with?

Yup, Id rather side with him instead of the guy who tortured one of his devout believers just to prove a point.

How is he taking all precautions to ensure his children do not commit the sins that will lead them to be tortured for eternity? He already knows which children are going to hell. Why does he not try and save them himself rather than allowing his other children to try on the basis of pure belief and not fact? He sure is doing a horrible job of parenting if he is real.

So what you've never done something that your mother said you shouldn't. If god truely exists then he doesnt understand people very well.

Knowledge of the consequences ahead of time can help to prohibit the actions which you want not to happen. He is doing all reasonable things without subverting their free will. Besides, merely knowing what is going to happen doesn't mean that it is determined.

Well he could come down and actually tell us non-believers that we should take note.

That devout believer was a trouble maker. A rebellious angel. Didn't bow before God. Led people away from God. That's who you're following?

You're talking about Job? Well, you should know it was Satan that tortured Job. And in the end, Job's fine. Restored to health, has more kids, and has double the riches he had before.

It isn't like I know of all the possible universal outcomes of a person living or dieing, the porpotional ammount of pain a person may feel, or how god might maximize happiness. God knows all this, so its conceivable what he is doing is maximizing happiness.
