What do you like most about christmas. I think for me its mostly just the atmosphere of it all. Reminds me of when i was younger, when life was 100% fun and games. I also like seeing my family, especially my step brothers. When i was younger i used to really love the present aspect of it all, but now i really could care less about getting gifts. I have pretty much everything i need.specialedpal
I feel just about the same way.
I look forward to my family being together. No work, no class, just relax, laugh, eat a nice breakfast, and share gifts. Watching my dog get excited when he gets a bunch of new chew toys and he can't decide which one to chew up first so he hordes them all in his bed and guards them lol... that is always epic win right there. Oh and eggnog, the real stuff, not that crap that Dean's or Kemps make.

Haha omg my dog does that too! and he also unwraps his gifts. He bites at the wrapping paper and tears it off, its really funny haha.
The fact that its a proof of concept that something that some people hold of significance can be commercialised to death to the point where most people don't care why it existslim_ak
so..uh i take it you don't like christmas?:?
The party's... I don't do much for Christmas, I'm not a social person. I go to my friends house every Christmas and do some stuff.-Kirbyangel-
I agree it's the whole atmosphere :) The winter season has something cozy, when it's getting dark and cold outside the houses warm up from the inside. Warm sweaters, cuddling up on the sofa with a soft blanky, hot cocoa, candlelight, Christmas decorations, gluhwein... I also love gift-giving, we don't do big and expensive gifts, but I really enjoy getting my loved ones some gifts that surprise them! That's also part of the fun, the 'secret' conversations with other relatives about what to get for someone :) Wrapping everything up in nice papers with tags that I made myself.
I also love the Christmas markets in Germany, I go there every year with my dad and I hope it's a tradition we'll continue for many more years. Just thinking of gluhwein makes me feel warm ;)
Christmas this year will be a lot different though.. I lost both my grandparents this year, my grandpa in January and my grandma in October. We always celebratedChristmas with the entire family at my grandparents' house. Now that Christmas is closing in soon, I realize even more that they are gone and how much I miss them :(
