I'm thinking something action-y, though...spazzx625Do something Crichton. Prey was good until the last third, and would be well suited for an audio book. Eaters of the Dead, Congo, Sphere, Jurassic Park? I could see all of those working with Audio.
[QUOTE="Travo_basic"]Just started Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk. spazzx625That was a decent book...Really quick read, though. Not Chuck's best, but definitely not his worst. Which one would you recommend ? I also have Rant.

I was going to listen to his one about global warming though...Thanks for reminding me. And yeah, Prey was excellent, but kind of starts falling apart towards the end. Still a really ace novel.

I just started Something Wicked This Way Comes again. JandurinHmm, i cant really remember much of that book. And i only read it a few years ago. I just remember expecting it to be more evil.
[QUOTE="aaronmullan"]We had one of these yesterday :xJandurinoh, i missed it. Well, JPL can do it again tomorrow. :x 3 in a row? Are you mad?! :x
[QUOTE="Travo_basic"] Which one would you recommend ? I also have Rant.spazzx625Ugh...Rant. Rant started off amazing...And then gets bogged down with stuff that is ridiculous. Basically, the last 1/2 of the book is spent explaining something that doesn't exist, but is crucial to the book's plot. It also could have ended like 50+ pages sooner. That is my least favorite by far. My favorite is Fight Club, but Survivor is a close 2nd. Choke is probably 3rd. Thanks. I think I started reading his books thanks to you and Lucas.
I swear, in the last week, I've seen one of these threads on the first page every day. :P
EDIT: Maybe I should actually contribute. :P I'm reading the 2nd Mass Effect novel.
[QUOTE="Travo_basic"] Thanks. I think I started reading his books thanks to you and Lucas.spazzx625Yeah, he went on a spree reading Chuck's books...I think he's read all of them if you want his opinion...Though, I'm not sure if he read Rant. Seriously, just thinking about Rant makes me mad since it had so much potential. Now I just want to return it. :(
Not exactly a bad thing.I swear, in the last week, I've seen one of these threads on the first page every day. :P

I'm halfway through Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Theokhoth
That one is one of my favorite HP books. :o
Well, considering I have 5 books to read for summer reading, I started now.
Right now, Napoleon by Felix Markham.
Then I have to read The Prince, A World Lit Only By Fire, Baghdad Without A Map, and Black Dog of Fate.
[QUOTE="Jandurin"]I just started Something Wicked This Way Comes again. WitchsightHmm, i cant really remember much of that book. And i only read it a few years ago. I just remember expecting it to be more evil. it was much more about implied regret (or something like that) than overt terror
Still reading David McCullough's "John Adams" for my history class. I honestly haven't made any progress in it in over a week. :?
Tom Wolfe's Bonfire of the Vanities is all kinds of awesome.Travo_basicI'll have to check it out.

I did indeed, I got it before these three books, still have it around somewhere. :)
I started The Master and Marguerita recently. it's...strange, and not really holding my interest. some bits are quite gripping, though, such as the devil's account of Jesus' trial.
