The Psychopathology of Everyday Life by Sigmund Freud and A Very Short Introduction To: Jung.AirGuitarist87
How come I can never find Jung's Very Short Introduction? I've got them for a number of different topics, but the closest thing I ever find is the VSI: Freud.
Anyhow, I love Jung, you should read his autobiography.
Re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows after watching the Half-Blood Prince movie the other day.
 An admin with one post?I'm reading the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. For the last two months.

I just finished Mystic River for the second time, and I'm finally going to start Shutter Island later, both by Dennis Lehane.
Have you read the whole trilogy?Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy for the third time, been waiting for a book from the library and this was the only book that i felt like reading again.
Locke562
Yeah i have all the pieces in one book its over 900 pages i think. Great read
I'm just starting Life, the Universe and Everything.
The film of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy ressurected my interest, and got me reading book 2. Then I forgot about it again, but looking through my books I found this, and my interest is yet again resurrected.
I also just ordered a book with all of Oscar Wildes work.
WW2 behind closed doors
looks at the relationships of churchill, stalin and FDR during the war, focuses mainly on joe as he's obviously the more interesting, very good book despite having an A level in history there is tons of stuff in it i didnt know
I had no idea people still read books. To me it's a bit primitive form of entertainment, to do story telling with nothing but words.GamingcucumberThe Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy wasn't half as good on film... why? Because of the composition of the words. The way the enviroment is described... anything... it's just funnier when read. As an example.

Indeed, though i thought the movie had its funny moments its not even near the book, the book is just enlightening.

this is bang on the money, i dont think ive ever seen a film of a book that ive read and thought wow thats actually better, but ive read plenty of books that have blown the film out of the water
biggest gap in quality IMO - i am legend, talk about taking a bit of creative freedom, will smith is obviously a bit too pretty to be hit with the books amazing twist ending

Also that is a pretty mediocre movie. I would recommend 2001 A Space Odyssey.
I remember being disappointed by the whale-part of the movie. It was funny, but not as funny as in the book :)
Another thing that got forgotten was the fact that against all probability a sperm whale had suddenly been called into existence several miles above the surface of an alien planet. And since this is not a naturally tenable position for a whale, this poor innocent creature had very little time to come to terms with its identity as a whale before it then had to come to terms with not being a whale any more. This is a complete record of its thoughts from the moment it began its life till the moment it ended it.
"Ah ... ! What's happening?" it thought. "Er, excuse me, who am I? Hello? Why am I here? What's my purpose in life? What do I mean by who am I? Calm down, get a grip now ... oh! this is an interesting sensation, what is it? It's a sort of ... yawning, tingling sensation in my ... my ... well I suppose I'd better start finding names for things if I want to make any headway in what for the sake of what I shall call an argument I shall call the world, so let's call it my stomach. Good. Ooooh, it's getting quite strong. And hey, what's about this whistling roaring sound going past what I'm suddenly going to call my head? Perhaps I can call that ... wind! Is that a good name? It'll do ... perhaps I can find a better name for it later when I've found out what it's for. It must be something very important because there certainly seems to be a hell of a lot of it. Hey! What's this thing? This ... let's call it a tail - yeah, tail. Hey! I can can really thrash it about pretty good can't I? Wow! Wow! That feels great! Doesn't seem to achieve very much but I'll probably find out what it's for later on. Now - have I built up any coherent picture of things yet? No. Never mind, hey, this is really exciting, so much to find out about, so much to look forward to, I'm quite dizzy with anticipation ... Or is it the wind? There really is a lot of that now isn't it? And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming towards me very fast? Very very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like ... ow ... ound ... round ... ground! That's it! That's a good name - ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me?"
And the rest, after a sudden wet thud, was silence. Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was "Oh no, not again." Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.
I love how it is described as a "sudden wet thud."
Just finished reading The Road, now I'm starting the Dark Tower series. Can anyone recommend me some good pos-apocalyptic books, I loved The road :P
Yes I have. I've read several good books, my favorite being The Alchemist. I will always remember it, but to fit all that into a single perfect picture would mean so much more to me than all those words on all those papers combined.GamingcucumberThe words are supposed to be the paint; your mind's the canvas
