i heard that when you turn 18 you reach ur sexual peak, but hey this is America, sex first, think later, so they are basically legalizing alchole, porn and everything during the time you become the horniest during ur life time.
Nothing. I wont be anymore competent or capable of working 4 months from now, but i'm 17, so i'm not as trustable as someone whos 18. Its stupid actually. I think they should have a world competency test or something where it decides of you are ready to be considered an adult or not, not some stupid age limit. Not everyone becomes 'Adult like' and trustable just because they have become legaly an adult. Its a flawed setup in my opinion.
By the time you're 18 in America, normally you would have graduated high school by then. I see that as the reasoning behind it for being the age of consent/legality for many things.
18-year-olds are out of (required) school, getting full-time jobs, going to college, becoming independent of their parents, etc., all of which are signs of maturity in our society.
Nothing It sucks -all you get is the right to vote -but now you are an "adult" as far as court system goes, can serve in military, can commit Stat. rape (sex with your 16/17 year old GF depending on the state), can get convicted of assualting a minor (get into fight with a 16/17 year old) Terrible B-day Only good ones are 16 and 21rawsavon
