It's FEAR to a certain extent. The extremity of it depends on the person, their history, and current situation. My only other explanation would be LAZINESS, lack of money/funds/capital, or opportunity.

At the moment... because i'm at work.

overall... mostly because there are a lot of hoops that i have to jump through to do what i want to be doing. being stuck on the corporate ladder really sucks... especially when you're only a couple of rungs up.

but i don't really want to start a new career... and anything else would pay me less than I'm making right now.
