Get a messenger bag if you want to look semi classy. If you don't care just use a backpack.

A backpack would be the obvious choice, but if you can find a tote bag big enough to carry what you want, that would be good too.

I think either a briefcase or a backpack would be good.

Backpacks are a pain a) when on public transport and b) when you want to retrieve something quickly e.g. wallet or phone. Over the shoulder all the way - easy access and leaves your hands free - perfect...

The umbrella I use has a little sleeve that the umbrella slips into and a strap is connected to it. But I use that umbrella only when I know the rain will heavy, otherwise I carry a smaller one that fits in my backpack along with everything else. Buy a cheap plastic poncho so you don't have to carry a coat around. You might look a little silly, so it might not be for you. :P

[QUOTE="Big_Bad_Sad"]Something like this is all you need.

Sadly, I've seen guys and girls that are over 25 with such bags. It's sorta creepy.

I'm the kind of guy who packs a lot of stuff in his bag, and then leaves it in there and adds whatever ELSE I need that day... well, long story short, my bag tends to be heavy, and if I wear it on 1 shoulder only, I get back pain pretty quickly... so backpack will always get my vote, except for someone who actually dresses up for work (suit, nice shirt...)

Just carry your jacket and umbrella in your arm. That seems more normal than bringing a duffel bag wherever you go.

You can't go wrong with a colonoscopy bag imo.
