What's the job title of my boss/supervisor?

I'm job hunting and there's this question on some job applications that confuses me. It's asking for the title of my supervisor at my current job. Isn't it supposed to my boss, and do i just write down 'the boss'? In case it helps, I work in the kitchen at a restaurant.

Head of the health department.

Vice president of electronics.

manager of the soda department.

That would probably be the Manager then wouldn't it?

Head chef? Or just right manager as others suggested to be sure.

I would rather put Manager than The boss, They might think you work for Bruce Springsteen.

Because most job application put what is title of supervisor. Seems repetitive putting in supervisor I suppose.
