I personally go by a formula I found somewhere. Generally, the rule of thumb is that [your age] divided by 2 + 7 = the minimum age your current age should be dating. This works pretty well(following the "as you go older, the age gap increases" theory). If I'm 25, the youngest I should be dating is 25/2(12)+7, therefore 19 years old. If you're 40 however, 27 is fine(40/2 + 7). That being said, the youngest a 20 year old person should date is 17, and the youngest a teenage should date should be his/her own age. Doesn't apply to younger than 14 though.
I won't date anyone under sixteen, I'd go as far up as 19 right now. I'm 17, I think a lot of it has to do with the maturity of the person and their age. The older the two are, the less large (roughly five year) gap between the two seems. It all depends on the person I suppose and what they're in to.
I'm 20 and personally I would only go +/- 2 years.
The younger girls that crave a "mature" (older) guy are incapable of being as mature. Likewise, I wouldn't push my luck on a 25 year old woman and use her as some kind of maturity crutch. Most guys I know in there 20s dating someone in there teens have maturity issues.
I can't imagine why someone would want someone at a different maturity level / stage in life. I'd rather enjoy, explore and discover the wonders of life at the same time as my partner.
How boring would it be for those 25 year old women with 40 year old boyfriends? The man has been there and done that and would probably discourage the woman from trying something in life that he believes isn't worth it.

I prefer the horribly innapropriate saying such as fluff on the muff.. If there's an airstrip... there's plenty of others, but I think those are the most common.
Im 23 and the girl I am seeing right now is 34. Age isnt a big deal if you dont act it. I dont like most people my own age and no one gueses I'm only 23.
Within 2 years, younger or older. I'm 19, I would rather date a girl that's a year younger personally but if I met someone I really liked than whatever.
I'm 18. The lowest I'll go is 16. Generally I wouldn't want to date someone older than me, but I guess it would depend how things go, and at the most maybe 2 years.

Fine, but not me. I dont like a woman that is too young for me. as long as not too big of a gap, tho I dont like a woman that older than me.... but then if she's my age and not my type, I wont go for it.
When I was 21 I dated a woman who was 36. You could say the relationship was based on the physical pleasures. I learned a lot that summer though:) I have rally no limit as long as the person is on about the same "level" as I am. The youngest I've ever been with was when I was 23...she was 17, but lied about her age. Ended it when I found out how old she really was... Saw her again like three years later and she was so hot and cute that I almost regret ending it.
My mom is about two years younger than my dad, so I use that as a basis. If I was to date, I'd probably pick a girl between 20 and 24 (seeing as I'm 23 myself).
