Well I'm 18, and dating a 16-year-old would be kind of a stretch for me (my mom actually think that's too young for me but I don't); I'd rather date someone my own age.

Take a look here and you will see that there are many countries (including many developed countries) where the age of consent is 14 or lower.

For that matter, three US states have an age of consent of just 14 (albeit with some age-gap qualifications):

• Arkansas
• Indiana
• Iowa

Well, I'm 42 and my wife is 34. When I met my wife, I was 33 and she was 25. I would have to say that was the youngest I would have dated. We're 8 years apart.

I don't care about age. If the person is on the same level of maturity as I am (i.e. that of an adult), I'll date her. So realistically, no younger than 22 or 23, and that'd be pushing it. Most people change a lot in their late teens and early 20s, and I'm not interested in dating people who have no idea about what they really want from life and relationships.

I never mentioned justifying or calling it normal to have a desire on someone who is not of legal age. I was referring to what you called "maturity issues". Now tell me what is so repulsive to you if a 20 year old woman likes to date 40 year old men? Or the opposite?

And also something more difficult... try to to establish it with something different than: "yikes its disgusting dude!!!".

I am 18 so I guess between 15-22 is good. But I don't think I would be able to date most 15 year-old girls, I would probably kill myself during the first date. :P
