In the 7th grade I had to do a report on the Holocaust. The teacher was really *itchy and was reall *issed whenever any one was late for her class or brought a project late. So I had worked about 36 hours over two weekends to complete the report that was assigned one month earlier. She had assigned for 500-1000 words. But I got over 2000 words. So she gave me 100%. Only 10% actually got an A. I think I was the only one to actually get full marks on a long term assignment. So I pretty much overkilled it but atleat I earned respect from my teacher. For anyone that wants to read my report it is in the spoiler.

Novel Study # 1
The Holocaust was a period of time during WWII when 6 million Jewish people died in Europe. Nazi Germany lead by Adolf Hitler wanted to make Germany a military and economic and along the way eliminate all of Europe Jews. In this report I answer questions like; Why did Hitler think the way he did? How did Hitler rise to power? What was the Final Solution? What was a Ghetto? How was the Star of David used? What laws did the 1935 Nuremberg laws include? What does Kristallnacht mean? What were concentration camps like? Who was involved in World War II? When were concentration camps liberated? How many people died in WWII? When and how was Israel created?
Lets start with the first question. Why did Hitler think the way he did? To know how Hitler thought the way he did we must look at who had influenced him and if he had any conflicts when he was younger. In grade 6 (which was the first year of high school) Hitler was failing in school as a rebellion against his father. But then his Father died and his grades did not go up. He finally had to fail school. He had many conflicts with his Jewish ****ates. This was believed to be an important part in Hitler becoming the racist anti-semite he was. Hitler says he first became an anti-Semite in Vienna". Vienna was an Austrian city which had a large population of Jews. Vienna also at that time also had a large group of religious prejudice and racist people. Hitler may have been influenced by Lanz Von Liebenfels, Karl Lueger, Richard Wagner, Georg Ritter Von Schönerer. These were all anti-semites, they were writers, politicians and composers that were anti-semetites and showed there work publicly. Hitler may have also been influenced by Martin Luther's On the Jews and their Lies. It was a treatise that stated horrible things about Jewish people. Martin Luther argued that their synagogues and schools should be set on fire, their prayer books destroyed, rabbis forbidden to preach, homes razed, and property and money confiscated. They should be shown no mercy or kindness, afforded no legal protection, and these "poisonous envenomed worms" should be drafted into forced labor or expelled for all time. But the most influential person over Hitler was Arthur de Gobineau's An Essay on the Inequality of the Human Races. Which developed the theory of the Aryan master race. He believed that "black", "white" and "yellow" were barriers and mixing blood would lead to disaster. He believed the "white race" was superior. He thought it corresponded to the ancient Indo-European culture, AKA the Aryan race. Although Gobineau thought Jews were part of the Aryan race the Nazi heavily edited An Essay on the Inequality of the Human Races to fit their ideas. During WWI Hitler was enlisted in the 16th Bavarian Reserve Regiment as a runner on France and Belgium fronts as a special request. In 1917 while he was wounded by mustard gas Hitler became convinced the purpose of his life was to "save Germany." He was awarded many metals such as the Iron Cross, Second **** in 1914, the Wound Badge, in 1917 and the Iron Cross, First **** in 1918. Hitler thought that Jews were the enemy of the Aryan race. He blamed them for Austria's government crisis, Germany's military defeat in WWI and 1918 Revolutions.
Now that we know why he thought the way he did I will answer the question. How did Hitler rise to power? In 1919 Hitler was promoted into a police spy to infiltrate the German Workers' Party. But instead Hitler was impressed by Anton Drexler's anti-Semitic, nationalist, anti-capitalist and anti-Marxist ideas. Dietrich Eckart a founder of the party became Hitler's mentor. By 1921 Hitler became highly efficient in front of large crowds when he spoke in front of 6,000 people in Munich. The earlier members of the German Workers' Party including Drexler thought Hitler was overbearing. But without Hitler the party would be at its end. Hitler (in July 11, 1921.) used this as an advantage that he would only come back if he would get full dictatorial power. The German Workers' Party decided to vote instead. Hitler won 543 to 1. Hitler renamed the party the National Socialist German Workers Party. On November 8, 1923 (Beer Hall Putsch) Hitler and some followers tried to overthrow the government. It was not successful and he was arrested. While in prison Hitler wrote Mein Kampf a two part book that sold 10 million copies by the end of WWII. After Hitler's sentence was up, he transformed the liberal democracy into a Nazi dictatorship. September 1930 votes jump from 810 100 to 6 409 600 making it the second biggest party. Hitler is voted Chancellor of Germany along side Paul Von Hindenburg in March 1933. Paul Von Hindenburg died on August 2nd 1934. Instead of holding another election Hitler gained supreme rule.
Now that you know how Hitler rose to power, lets look at what Hitler had thought and done. Hitler wanted to "Save Germany [from the Jews]". He planed to exterminate the Jews. When WWII to started Hitler wanted to exterminate all the Jews in Europe. This was called the Final Solution.
Hitler's first step to achieving the "Final Solution" was to create Ghettos. What was a Ghetto? Ghettos were tightly packed areas in Eastern European cities which were made to keep Jews in under Nazi rule. The Ghettos were walled off, and any Jew that was not in the Ghetto was killed. There was little sanitation. They only received 181 calories per person. With little sanitation and food disease wreaked upon the Jews. The living quarters were packed to the brim. In Warsaw there was a density of 9.2 people per room and in Odrzywol from 12 to 30 in each room. The first Ghetto was made in Tuliszkow, Poland around December 1939 or January 1940. Some notable Ghettos are; Białystok, Budapest, Cluj, Kovno, Kraków, Lakhva, Lwów, ŁÃ³dź, Marcinkance, Theresienstadt, Vilna and Warsaw.
Hitler's second step to achieving the "Final Solution" was to make all Jews wear the Star of David. You may be wondering; What was the Star of David? How was the Star of David used? It is a sign of Judaism, named after King David of ancient Israel. The Star of David is on the flag of Israel and was first used as a degrading symbol in Baghdad in the ninth century, spread to the West in medieval times and was finally reused in WWII. Jews were forced to wear the Star of David to identify that they Jewish.
Hitler's third step to achieving the "Final Solution" was to pass The Nuremberg Laws of 1935. This denaturalization laws passed in Nazi Germany and discriminated against Jews. People with 4 grandparents that were German, were Germans. People with three or four Jewish grandparents, were Jews. People with one or two Jewish grandparents, were a Mischling, a crossbreed, of "mixed blood". The first law, prohibited marriages and extra-marital intercourse between Jews and Germans and also the employment of German females under forty-five in Jewish households. The second law, took away anyone that was not considered of German blood of their German citizenship. The third law, Jews could not to wear the Reich and national flag or the national colors.
Onto the next question. What does Kristallnacht mean? Kristallnacht was a pogrom against the Jews. It took place in Germany and parts of Austria. It started November 9 and ended November 10, 1938. That means it was on Martin Luther's birth date. 8 000 Jewish homes and shops were ransacked. Jews were beaten to death and 30,000 sent to concentration camps. 1,668 synagogues were ransacked and 267 more were burned down. It all started when Herschel Grynszpan trying but failing to help his parents situation. Becoming fed up with pleaing to the Ernst vom Rath the Third Secretary of the German Embassy in Paris, shot at Ernst vom Rath 4 times (but missing 75% of the time) and killed him.
You may wonder what a concentration camp was like. Concentration camps were where Jews were imprisoned in Axis and Axis occupied territory. Many camps did not properly feed the Jews and/or have proper hygiene and facilities. Camps were overcrowded. Diseases spread and killed like wildfire. Many Jews died in concentration camps. The first most deaths in a concentration camp was Auschwitz-Birkenau with 1,100,000-1,500,000 deaths. The second most deaths in a concentration camp was Treblinka with 870,000 deaths. The third most deaths in a cocentration camp was Jasenovac with 600,000-700,000 deaths. The during the Holocaust a much bigger conflict was happening, this was WWII. World War II was a world wide conflict between the Axis and the Allies. The fighting was done in Europe, the Asian Pacific and Northern Africa. WWII was the only war that had used the A - Bomb when the US launched Little Boy and Fat Man on Japan. Major Axis Powers include Germany, Japan and Italy, Hungary, Romania, Slavok Rebublic, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Croatia and Thailand. Puppet states of the axis include Albania, Greece, Montenegro (Drljevic regime), Manchukuo, Mengjiang, Wang Jingwei Government, Burma (Ba Maw regime), Philippines Second Republic, Provisional Government of Free India, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Major - Major Allies Britain, USSR, USA, China, Poland, India, France, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Yugoslavia, Brazil, Italy(former Axis), Romania(former Axis),Bulgaria(former Axis) and Finland. Minor Allies British Crown Colonies, French overseas territories, Belgian Congo, Dutch East Indies, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Panama, American Samoa, Guam, Commonwealth of the Philippines, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Iraq, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Iran, Colombia, Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, Lebanon, San Marino, Albania, Bahawalpur, Ecuador, Paraguay, Venezuela, Turkey and Mongolia.
Here is a time line of WWII. WWII officially started September 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. Britain and France being in a defensive pact declared war on Germany. Some other non-European countries also declared war on Germany. Germany and the Soviet Union have divided Poland within a month. The Soviets invade Finland in the Winter War. Finland and the Soviet Union declare peace. Germany invades Denmark and Norway. Denmark surrenders. Germany invades the Low Countries. Luxembourg is occupied. The Netherlands surrenders. Belgium surrenders. Italy joins the Axis. Norway surenders. Estonia, Latia and Lithuania are occupied by the Soviet Union. France surrenders. Italy advances on Somaliland. Italy invades British Somaliland. Japan joins the axis. Italy invades Greece. Hungary joins the Axis. Romania joins the Axis. The Slovak Republic joins the Axis. Bulgaria joins the Axis. The Axis invade Belgrade and Yugoslavia. Belgrade and Yugoslavia surrendered. Greece surrenders. Germany invades the Soviet Union. Finland declares war on the Soviet Union. Brittish and Soviet toops invades Iran. Germany occupies Estonia. Japna declares war on the US and UK. Canadad declares war on Japan. China officially declares war on Japan. Germany and Italy declare war on the United States. Japan invades Burma. The US and UK declare war on Romania and Bulgaria. India declares war on India. Hungary declares war on the US and UK. Japan invades Borneo. The United Nations is formed. Japan declares war on the Netherlands. Japan invades Indonesia. Thailand declares war on the US and UK. Japan invades the Solomom Islands. Japan invades Bali and Timor. Mexico declares war on the Axis. The Manhattan Project begins. Canadian forces trie to raid Dieppe, France but fails and Canadian troops are massacered in the biggest one day death count during WWII. Brazil declares war on the Axis. Iraq declares war on the Axis. Bolivia declares war on the Axis. Mussolini is arrested. Italy drops out of the War. Russia declares war on Bulgaria. Iran declares war on Germany. Hitler rescues Mussolini from a mountain prison. Bolivia declares war on the Axis. The Battle of Normady begins. Graf von Stauffenberg tries to assaninate Hitler but fails. The Battle of the Bulge begins. The end of The Battle of the Bulge, as Germany does not make any gains. Ecuador declares war on the Axis. Belgium is now cleared of all German forces. Paraguay, Peru, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Finland declares war on Germany. Hitler and his wife commit suicide. The Soviets win the Battle for Berlin. Germany surenders against the Allies. Norway and Italy declare war on Japan. Little boy the first ever nuclear bomb used in warfare is used on Hiroshima. The Soviet Union declares war on Japan. Fat Man the second ever nuclear bomb used in warfare is used on Nagasaki. Japan surrenders when air US superiority is shown over Tokyo. Towards the end of WWII concentration camps were liberated. Soviet soldiers were the first to liberate a concentration camp. The Soviets liberated Auschwitz, Majdanek, Belzec, Sobibor, Treblinka, Stutthof, Sachsenhausen, and Ravensbruec. This is the most liberations for one country. The Americans liberated Buchenwald, Dachau, Dora-Mittelbau, Flossenbürg, and Mauthausen. The British liberated Bergen-Belsen and Neuengamme. The Canadians liberated Vught. The French liberated Natzweiler-Struthof. There was many deaths in WWII. Overall over 72,000,000 people died in WWII. 14,000,000 Allies military casualties. 50,000,000 Allies civilian casualties. 8,000,000 axis military casualties. 4,000,000 axis civilian casualties. Finally it is time to answer the question. When and How was Israel created? The rise of anti-Semitism, pogroms and frequent birth of nations in Europe made some Jews think about making an independent nation. So in 1897 the First Zionist Congress proclaimed the decision "To establish a home for the Jewish people in Erezt- Israel secured under public law". This area was governed by the Kingdom of Israel from roughly 930 BC to 720 BC At the end of WWI Llyod George invaded Levant which led to The Balfour Declaration of 1917 "view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people". Jewish immigration to Palestine grew slowly. But when Hitler came to power the migration population increased greatly. Illegal immigration increased hugely as Jews fled the growing Nazi Germany. After WWII Jews were desperate to go to Palestine to start a new life. The British prime minister did not want them to go to Palestine. But the US pressured the British to let Jews go to Palestine. The British government 100,000 Jewish people immigrated to Israel. In 1946 Israel revolted against Britain rule. In 1948 the War of Independence and Statehood began. Britain removes forces from Israel. May 14, 1948 the state of Israel is born. May 14, 1948 the 1948 Arab - Israeli war begins. March 1949 the 1948 Arab - Israeli war ends.
Hitler's influences. How Hitler became supreme ruler. The laws that Hitler passed. The pogrom called Kristallnacht. The way Jews in concentration camps were treated. The liberation of concentration camps. The Allies winning WWII. WWII casualties. And the creation of Israel. Were all important in the events leading up to the Holocaust, the events during the Holocaust and the events in the aftermath of the Holocaust effect the views of our modern day world.
Were all important in the events leading up to the Holocaust, the events during the Holocaust and the events in the aftermath of the Holocaust effect the views of our modern day world.
hahaha! Im just joking around. I'm actually a senior in high school.
Holy cow! 7th grade??? :o
No wonder. :PÂ
Yep, and my school is mostly full of nerds so this was the ultimate bragging rights.
No wonder. :PÂ Â
I defeated an accredited philosophy professor in an official university debate in front of an audience of 100. This was about a year ago, in my sophomore year at college.Theokhoth
Impressive, what did you discuss?
I was always lazy so nothing impressive really.
But in the 8th grade I wrote a 25 page "epic". The teacher thought I had copied it from the internet, because she considered it to be too good for an 8 grader. She never really believed I wrote it, that bastard
Hmm...I've gotten one B in my entire educational career (I'm a junior right now). I've made Super Honor Roll every quarter since 6th grade (which is when it started). Participated in World Class Arena, which is where they took me as a 4th grader to take a test only 500 people in the world take supposedly because I got a perfect score on my ISATs in 3rd grade.Â
Recently? Just made the National Honors Society, and I just performed in the Illinois Music Education Association's District Concert. We all had to audition earlier and I got chosen to go to district. Didn't make state, however...totally bombed one of the songs during the audition :P There's always next year.
OH! And I got an A in my AP Biology cIass which was my first AP cIass so I'm pretty proud of that.

:o Wow, awesome!
I guess posting here a little over 2000 times for me
Which reminds me, I only have 194 posts before I surpass my shining moment.:P
You better make it a big post. Maybe Part 3 of your OT Story? Hell, my 20K was kickass.

Dark-Sithious
I'm not sure that's the right term.
Anyway, I've been on the honor roll a lot in high school, and my grades are generally really good. Never been valedictorian or anything.
