What's the nicest thing someone has done for you?

I guess for me, I was "swimming" at a California beach and almost got swept out to sea. If it weren't for a surfer dude who helped me out, I didn't even know I was in danger. Felt silly afterword.

How about you?

When about 12-13 me and a mate wanted to follow the canal to see where it leads, but it had one of those M something or another roads between it.

We were about to cross it when a builder came up to us and advised us to go back because it' was extreamly dangerous.

Seems like a very obv thing to do, but alot of people are actually quite apathetic and kind of assholes when it comes to that kind of stuff.

So yea, top dude. Whoever he was.

I was really lucky to have parents and grandparents that value education, and they saved for me and my sister's higher education, so I was able to get a college degree without incurring any debt.

I've been able to save since the day I started earning a paycheck, and all that money has gone to my future and not to a bank. Not a week goes by I don't appreciate that fact.

Dude that happened to me once, it was one of the most terrifying moments of my life.

Undercurrents, man....terrifying thing. One second you're just swimming around the next thing you know you're a few hundred yards down from where you thought you were and on your way out to sea.

My Dad stayed with my mother in a terribly unhappy marriage for about 5 years just so he could be there and 100% raise me. Since a divorce would drastically cut down his available time with me, and he wouldn't be able to protect me if something happened. I graduated High School on a Friday and he filed for divorce the following Monday. I'm stronger, smarter, more honest, and a far better man in general than I would be because of his half a decade sacrifice. Nobody else has come close to that.

Got much more support and encouragement from my company when I lost my mom. It wasn't a ton, but it was much more than I expected.

Separate, and technically this shoudln't count as I rendered a service, but I had an out of town comedian "tip" me $50 for a 10 minute ride. In addition to that, I got some funny storied, got to meet the owner of the comedy club I drove the club to. The owner gave me a pair of tickets to come visit whenever, a couple of drinks, and some funny stories, too.

One of my mother's coworkers bought for my family, and my niece, food gratis when we once went to a new restaurant. We offered to cover it, but she insisted since she wished for us to try the food out. It was a moving thing to me since, she hadn't know us myself or my niece until that noon, but she did anyway. I still reflect on it to this day when I eat over there.

I remember this kid in School I think his name was Jesse saw me walking to School and gave me a lift I was really surprised I never talked to him much and when we did talk years earlier we call each other names.

My mother for letting me be me and letting me think for myself growing up.
