«This is your life, and it's passing one minute at a time.» -Fight Club
This hit me hard in the face when I saw the movie for the first time last year... changed my perception of things, now I try to live all out and not think/wait too much

Ending one minute at a time, not passing.

If religion were true, its followers would not try to bludgeon their young into an artificial conformity; but would merely insist on their unbending quest for truth, irrespective of artificial backgrounds or practical consequences.
H. P. Lovecraft
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.
H.P Lovecraft
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

As you can tell I am I fan of H.P Lovecraft:P
Anyway, here are some more Fight Club quotes for you, some are from the book though, and were not in the movie:
"It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything"
"I want you to hit me as hard as you can"
"You are a not a beautiful and unique snowflake, you are the same decaying organic matter as everything else"
"You are not your bank account, you are not the clothes you wear, you are not the contents of your wallet, you are not your bowel cancer, you are not your grande latte, you are not the car you drive, you are not your ****ing khaki's"
"You have to give up. You have to realize that someday you will die. Until you know that, you are useless"
"Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need"
"People do it everyday, they talk to themselves... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it"
"Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off"
"If you don't know what you want, then you end up with a lot you don't"- 'The doorman'
"After a night in fight club, everything in the real world gets the volume turned down. Nothing can piss you off. Your word is law, and if other people break that law or question you, even that doesn't piss you off"- 'Jack'
"This is your life, good to the last drop" and "This is your life and it is ending one minute at a time"-'Jack'
Some of my favorite quotes are from George Carlin:)
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
If the Cincinnati Reds were really the first major league baseball team, who did they play?
Honesty may be the best policy, but it's important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."
Religion has convinced people that there's an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money.
Soft rock music isn't rock, and it ain't music. It's just soft.
Ever notice that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, but anyone going faster is a maniac?
I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately.
If Helen Keller had psychic ability, would you say she had a fourth sense?
What year did Jesus think it was?
The planet is fine. The people are screwed.
The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post "Thou shalt not steal," "Thou shalt not commit adultery," and "Thou shalt not lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.
Atheism is a non-prophet organization.
The reason they call it the American Dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it.
No comment" is a comment.
I think I am, therefore, I am. I think.
Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other people's stuff.
I don't have a fear of heights. I do, however, have a fear of falling from heights.
What was the best thing before sliced bread?

I love HP Lovecraft because all those quotes are too true.
I was discussing conspiracies with my friend and mentioned the one about the planet Nibiru, and how aliens from that planet came to Earth and created us humans as hybrids (and how the semitic religions' mythology all ties in to this) and he said "No way, I refuse to believe we were created by aliens"
And I thought, life isn't about believing in fairy tales to make you happy. What if it was true? The very thought of something so grand frightens people so they cling to their close minded beliefs for security. Ignorance truly is bliss.
"Dont you think its a bad idea for dogs to sniff for bombs in airports and such because 99% of dogs dont speak english, so how does we know what they is saying when they point at package? They could they be saying 'this one definately aint got a bomb'"
Regarding Abortion
"Is the reason your so against abortion because you yourself was aborted?"
response: "no"
"Has you ever had an abortion?"
reponse: "no"
"well surely you should try something before you say its bad"
A black hole is NOT a vacuum sucking up everything in the universe.
SOOOO many people used to think that
Well, when it comes to quotes "I feel like a misquito in a nudest colony, I don't know where to begin." --Dinesh D'Souza
Of the favorite things I've heard from a person I actually know, however, I'd choose, "I am humble and proud of it!"
I do like almost anything C. S. Lewis has said though... like
"Suppose there were no intelligence behind the universe. In that case, nobody designed my brain for the purpose of thinking. Thought is merely the by product of some atoms within my own thinking to be true? But if I can't trust my own thinking, of course, I can't trust the arguments leading to atheism, and therefore have no reason to be an atheist, or anything else. Unless I believe in God, I can't believe in thought; so I can never use thought to disbelieve in God."
"Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither."
"Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important."
"I believe in Christianity as I believe in the rising sun; not because I see it, but by it I can see all else."
If religion were true, its followers would not try to bludgeon their young into an artificial conformity; but would merely insist on their unbending quest for truth, irrespective of artificial backgrounds or practical consequences.
