Paranoia Agent is a very good thriller, not weird. One of my fav animes. Serial Experiments Lain................. its a very serious anime, but its really hard to follow... I wouldnt considered that weird.
I wouldn't call Azumanga weird, it's certainly got some strange moments, especially the dreams with Chiyo-Chichi, but it's one the most delightful and amusing things anyone will ever watch.
Alright, so after watching the links you guys posted, I'm getting some weird related video's such as this in my suggestions.
I don't even... Some small little cute animal things turning some girl into a cow, then some guy walks in and they get all demonic for a brief second. Sure, why not. :lol:

The weirdest animation would be that one with the body-builders chasing a steam-roller down the road, using each-other as vehicles, with dumb-bells for wheels. You know, that one with the baby face crotch laser? As for Anime, that would be FLCL.

Golden Boy is awesome! but I still think Dragon half is funnier.
I actually really liked deadman, it was a short and they somewhat rushed the story though. But for me, it would have to be 'mirai nikki' also called 'Future Diary'
i know there's weirder anime but holy crap, watching future diary was the most depressing anime i've ever watched in my life ;_; and not only that, you had that weird sexual tension between yuno and yukki the wholeeeeee show
Gintama also gets my vote, but its more the crazy random kind of weirdness (the good, extremely funny kind, so to say) rather than the completely fudged up kind. Here's a decent example why (and to further add context, the whole cast gets sick and this unlucky bastard got it the worst):

The show is actually pretty funny.. couple of my mates and me watched the whole series.
Well, That's about the weirdest anime I've ever seen. I used to enjoy more reading(I hardly ever watched anime) mainstream stuff when I was younger. Dragon ball/Z, yugioh(original 7) , naruto, bleach. Rurouni Kenshin is still a masterpiece of a saga IMO I've really stopped reading manga and books in general but I've been recently enjoying Ultimo, Toriko, and Rosario vampire. Ehh Pretty bummed to see Shonen jump dead along with Nintendo power at the end of the year too. Only magazine I have left to read is Time(oh boy).

You know, I remember seeing this one show where a guy got powers from this random zombie girl princess thing, the most memorable part about it is that its got the whole fanservice thing reversed by dressing him up in tight maid clothing and focusing all the panty shots on him. Laughed quite hard at that but I just can't remember the name of that anime.

There's probably no definitive answer though. I don't think it would too far from the truth to say that everything could basically be considered a fetish. It just depends on how you look at things, I guess.
