I honestly can't think of a 2009 film that I've seen that has really impressed me. So far everything I've really liked was technically a 2008 movie but I suppose there's still time for some good stuff to watch.

What movies have you seen so far this year?
So far the only movies I think are worth anything is Up and Star Trek.
Actually I was just checking and I do believe that Wendy and Lucy was released in 2009 so I suppose I'll go with that for now. As far as what movies that I've watched this year I've watched quite a few but most aren't 2009 movies. The last handful were Monsters & Aliens, Watchmen, Star Trek, Taken, Underworld - Rise O' Teh Lycans, and...gosh that's all I can think of at the moment.
Check out Up.
I don't see a lot of movies and I haven't seen many this year, but I saw Pelham 123 last night and thought it was really good so that's what I would have to choose.
These are my favorites in a vague order
1. Everlasting moments
2. Hunger
3. State of play
4. 500 days of summer
5. O'Horton
6. Departures
7. Tulpan
8. The great buck howard
9. Is anybody there?
10. Looking for eric
11. The Merry Gentleman
12. Up
I love how whenever you post a movie list it contains movies I've never heard of, all the time. :xI've only seen 4 movies this year. :P
Star Trek - Greatness. I really liked the plot.
Wolverine - Failness. Stupid, corny, bad story, ruined Deadpool, etc...
Up - Funny, heart-warming, but not much to it.
Terminator - Decent. It closed the terminator story well, but that's about it.
EDIT: nvm, I've seen Watchmen too. It was forgettable obviously. :P
The Great Buckhoward over Up, seriously? Oh well, it's your list..These are my favorites in a vague order

Its not like im saying its better, I did however think Up was a little overrated. I still enjoyed it though. it seems Pixar is maturing a bit, especially the sad scenes in Up were very mature for a so called kids film.
Easilly Drag me to hell, i havnt had so much fun from a movie in a long time. not to mention one of the only horror movies in a while to scare me, and make me laugh.it just shows that sam raimi is a genious.
my list
1. Drag me to Hell
2. UP
3. Watchmen
4. Star Trek
5. Terminator
Well out of Dragonball Evolution, Star Trek, and Terminator 4, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out...

Pixar films are not really kids films. They're kid friendly, but they're really just the movie experiences that truly anyone can enjoy.
It looks like you've seen that with Up - soft enough on the edges for kids to enjoy, but a deep storyline that mostly adults will enjoy.

It seems like they tried that with Wall-E and for the first half on earth i loved it, but then after that it fell apart. It was still good, but it became more predictable and silly.
