I say losing a best friend. One of my best friends moved to another country (quite a while ago), and it was extremely difficult for me to get over. Girls are meh...they're replaceable.

Like when this ***** dumped me, I easily got over her and now I see her as a lying weasel hopefully to be cursed for the rest of her life.

I think losing the friend you grew up with is harder, it's easy to find another girl, not so much for a best friend.

I've recently started to drift apart from my best friend, who I've known since I was like four years old. it didn't bother me at first, but It's starting too now because we basically ignore each other and hang around with different people.

I've split up with girls before and not cared, but this is bothering me like crazy (heterosexually:P), as I feel like I'm losing my best bud

Friends last forever, girls come and go bros before hos man.... bros before hos.....

Not really... I was the opposite. In high school my girl was always second to my friends. Now love and getting married is a priority so the friends get back-seated to my lady.

That's what the girls say....but oh well. Both genders see each other as disposable and replaceable.

There are plenty of girls out there if you split up with the one you are with. There are not many best friends walking around out there, so I think losing a best friend is harder. Now if the girl is also a best friend as well as your love interest, well, that'll be really tough.

In my experience, good friends will last longer and be more useful than girls.

It really depends on how long you know the girl. If you love eachother so much and had known eachother a long time and get married, losing the girl would probably be worse since she would has probably become more than just a best friend. But if this is a girl you thought was cute and you only dated her a couple months before you decided to break up, then the best friend would beecome the worse thing to lose.

I think you have to do 2 things: 1. realize most the comments were made in jest 2. remember the average age of the users here is probably about 16-17

THE girl would be considered a bro first, she's be your BEST friend in addition to being your girl.

Losing your friends is hard. I hate to grow away from people who I have known for so long, and it makes me sad to see my old friend again, and we have nothing in common anymore, but I suppose it has to happen. Losing friends is worse.
