Wait wait wait... You're favorite quote comes from Hannah Montana? I don't know whether to laugh or cry :?spazzx625Yeh, I was gonna call attention to that but didn't wanna waste time opening the 'Edit Post' page. >________>
Give a man a fire and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

lol, that's great, gotta' start using it.
"Last night I looked up into the stars and matched each one with a reason why I love you ... I was doing great until I ran out of stars"
"They say a picture tells 1,000 words but when I see yours all I see is 3 ... I love you"

*Vomits* A bit too saccharine for my taste. :P
Mine's got to be "Life's too important to be taken seriously" by Oscar Wilde.

 When you discover the woman of your dreams, you will start thinking of the same stuff regardless whether you like it or not.Anything from "Anchorman" or "Fight Club".
And this:
"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."

I'm an agnostic-atheist, but I still think that that is a really pretentious quote.

What's pretentious about it? It's true, really.

Wait...aren't you a Christian? GabuEx, you really confuse me sometimes.
I think it's pretentious because that quote is insinuating that anyone who is religious forgoes the use of logic, which is not necessarily true (you're a prime example of this yourself). I think I might be reading that quote wrong though.
EDIT: Ah yes, I missed that crucial "not" word.

I don't think it's saying that at all. Galileo was a Christian too. What he is saying is what I have said in the past: that Scripture is not intended to be a scientific textbook, and that if something in reality contradicts a literal interpretation of a passage of Scripture, then we ought to interpret the passage accordingly rather than to deny reality, to reassert the literal truth of the passage in the face of evidence to the contrary, and thus to forego our ability to think rationally about the world around us.

I see that now. Sometimes I'm a bit of a dunce.
Another one of my favorites: "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."~Jimi Hendrix. Too bad that's never going to happen. :(

The pursuit of world peace is kind of like the pursuit of perfection: you're never going to get there, but the result in the end is still better than if you hadn't tried. ;)
"You never know how fast somebody runs till you've set them on fire"
And one of mine "Call me what you want, judge me how you want.Nothing an iron bar smashing your ****ing face in wont stop"
"I can't swim. I can't drive, either. I was going to learn to drive but then I thought, well, what if I crash into a lake?" Dylan Moran.
C'est la vie. Better than any English saying on that theme.super_mario_128What does it matter if the saying is English, Spanish or whatever?
I'm not a vegetarian, for instance.I mean I'm not hardcore about it.I eat a lot of meat... but thats only because I like the taste so morally I win as far as I'm concerned" - Dylan Moran again

Well, certain languages can express thoughts more concisely (and thus eloquently) than others. Whenever I translate something from English to Latin, the Latin translation is usually much shorter.
[QUOTE="super_mario_128"]C'est la vie. Better than any English saying on that theme.MetalGear_NintyWhat does it matter if the saying is English, Spanish or whatever? Different languages, atleast for me, tend to have more power and mystery behind them, simply due to the fact that not everyone can understand it. On that subject, what does that phrase mean?
