I'm from the Film Appreciation Union and I'm appalled by what I'm seeing in this thread.
Oh, and my favorite movie is The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly - I own it on Blu-Ray.
My most favorite movies are the Original Star Wars Trilogy and I still have the 1995-1996 Special Edition VHS tapes of the movies along with the 2004 DVD box set.
My favorite film is Gran Torino, and I own zero copies of it and have no plans on changing that anytime soon. I thought seeing it twice in a theatre (which is a very rare thing for me to do) was enough. I may pick it up just to have for my collection, but it's not a huge priority.
none are my favourites, but I own more than one copy of several movies. I have Blade Runner 5 DVD set and The Final Cut on blu-ray. I have the LOTR triolgy theatrical on DVD and extended on blu-ray. I have the thing on HD-DVD (I know, I know) and blu-ray. Finally, I have The Big Lebowski on DVD and the 10th anniversary edition on blu-ray.
I really really like (500) Days of Summer, but I don't even own it.taylor888
That is a really good movie.
I only have a small amount of movies that I actually buy and not rent, and that would be one I think I would like to own at some point.
Movies are overrated. You get tired of them after you watch the same movie many times. Series are better because they are longer. I especially liked Moomin (המומינים 1990) and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1986 series הקוסם מארץ עוץ)
same, i'm not holding my breath though so i'll probably keep the dvds for a loooong timeStar Wars
had owned the VHS regular versions
but now i just have the 2004 dvd setno blu-ray for me until that glorious day of the untouched original trilogy comes...

Contact is one of my favourite films and I own 4 copies: One VHS, two regular DVD copies (I bought one and one was bought for me as a gift I didn't need) and a copy on BluRay.
I also own two copies of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Blade Runner.Got the standard 1992 Directors cut on DVD, and I've the got the five disc tin edition with five versions of the film in it.

I've bought most of the Blade Runner remasters and director's cuts that Ridley Scott released over the years. So I actually have 4 different box sets. That beats Jaws by one copy. :)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I have it... Blu-Raydespa1r_fact0rHuh, didn't know that was released on that format.
Into The Wild. Ordered it on Blu-Ray just the other day in fact. [QUOTE="despa1r_fact0r"]Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and I have it... Blu-RayJust-BreatheHuh, didn't know that was released on that format.
