The Virtual Boy. Mother brought it home for a present when I was a kid. Had it for a weak before we exchanged it for a Super Nintendo.

Atari 2600.

Although the NES was released in 1986 the Atari 2600 and games were loads cheaper at the time.

Didn't get a NES until around 1990 when Super Mario Bros 3 was released.

I guess the NES, but the whole family used it so technically it wasn't mine. But the one that was strictly my own, in my room, was the Sega Saturn.

My first console was an NES. I think I got it around 1988 or 1989.

I love superb graphics in video games but I hate it when people complain about "mediocre" graphics too much.

Yeah, I love great graphics as well...but graphics in older games won't keep me from playing them...like Fallout or Half Life. I can relate to what you're saying.

I actually played pong on something like that. The console was black though. It's amazing how a game as mindless as pong could captivate people...I mean, I made fun of it while I played, but I just couldn't stop. :D

Yeah it's kind of odd how such awful primitive games could have kept up busy for so many hours. I must admit that although I enjoyed playing an electronic game at home, it didn't quite grab me with the gaming craze until a few years later when my father bought...

A Sears Pinball/Breakaway system...IN COLOR!!! Good lord I used to play the "pinball" and breakout games for just hours and hours.
