We bid 20k under list originally, they came back with 5k under list, and we came back with 10k under list. Was this foolish? If we'd accepted 5k under list, today, we would KNOW we had a house. Thoughts?

Thoughts?Without takings this off-topic further, it's standard for the first offer to be 10% less than a fair priced list. We got our place for $8k less than list, but that was after 2 previous, lower offers.
