I'd like to be 6'4". I'm 6'1" now but I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller, I wish I had a girl who looked good - I would call her, I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six-four Impala.

read my mind
I'm 1.83m (6 Foot) now. Happy with my height but I wouldn't mind being around maybe 6'3-6'4. Wouldn't really want to be any taller than that.

I find it that Tall Guys are generally push overs and do not have a strong presence, plus short guys are generally studly.

tall guys are pushovers because if we ever pushed back, a lot of people would be in trouble :P As for lacking a strong presence, well, that has nothing to do with height.

how did you come up with this sense that this is what tall people actually think? My post? I was obviously joking, hence the :P emote
inferiority complex manifested by a below-average height?
I dont know what your deal is, man, but its your problem, and definitely not a problem caused by tall people. I am sorry you are insecure with yourself, though, and I can assure you that you likely have nothing to feel bad about, least ofall your height. Just do not imply that tall people think we are better than short people...I have never in my entire life looked down at someone and said "HA HA HA what a short person, they are so pathetic" nor do most tall people I wager.

Wow, slow down. I have seen it time and time again actually, people are pretty judging of height which I find comical. In my experience I have had people look down upon me simply because of my height.
I don't mind being short, most Body Builders aren't much taller than me and I will end up being around there height wise.

oooooookayy...I've seen short people be aggressive jerks and intentionally start fights with people larger than them in a vain attempt to prove to the world and themselves that their being short doesnt make them inferior.
The majority of the "bodybuilders" I see at the gym are pretty damn short (likely because they started when they were too young and worked out improperly :P )
I've seen countless examples of short people "compensating for their shortcoming" (no pun intended), but do I stereotype?
Of course not, because theyre not compensating for their shortcoming any more than tall people are being arrogant. Its a crude, silly generalization that people like you reinforce (and, in turn, perpetuate for your own generalization).
In short, it is all coincedence.

Lol nice puns and I know what you mean about guys going to start fights, altho who knows if short people are the majority of that crowd. I am not like that tho, I am not agressive in person I am just strong, I don't go looking for a fight, but I will defend myself regardless of the opponent.
Yeah, but thats not the reason I am short it is mostly my genetics and then I was born with bones two years behind which is a drag, but Docs said they will catch up eventually and I will be growing in my 20s.

Just inquiring.. because it's ironic that people say that weight lifting will stunt your growth... cause i just so happen to be into that back when i hit puberty and on for until i was about 16-17.
While confident with my own height (like i said in my previous post), wanna know.
Is there any truth that? or is that just an urban myth.
I'd have to agree, I'm quite happy with that height. An interesting twist on the old "How tall r u?" thread.:P:lol:Probably what I am now (6' 1").

It depends on what you do and if you hurt yourself doing it. Squats where you have the barbell on your shoulders is known to compress your spine. You can also damage the tendons near your armpits by doing dumbbell bench bress simply because the tendons are still developing. It won't necessarily stunt your growth, but it can or could.

I guess I'll take your word for it. I mean yeah, I know smaller people get picked on sometimes... but that is just what bullies do. They never pick on somebody their own size. And trust me when I tell you that "tall guys" (6'0" or so) don't ever even think about height... because they may be taller than a good bit of the population, but they still have a lot of people their height and taller, so it's not like they are unique so they never even think about it. Now, if somebody was like 6'6+, well then they'd be a lot more rare and might have an inflated sense of self because of their unique height. But even then I've never met anybody like that. And I know a LOT of very tall people since I grew up playing basketball. I know basketball players from all around the world from high school, AAU, and tournaments. I personally know players who are at major universities, the nba, playing in germany, etc, and I've never met anybody who feels superior because they are tall. How so? I know the feeling of being stared at for the wrong reasons.
I am still below the average of the more accepted range height wise and I have put on a respectable amount of muscle which is prolly the only reason why I don't care as much about being short.
It would be tough being fat, but at least that is something that is changeable, unless if it is related to some health problem.
But you are right, things can always be worse and you just gotta play the cards you were dealt.
It's a myth. You grow because of your growth plates. Unless you damage your growth plates (which you'd have to have a big accident while lifting), then you won't stop growing until you naturally stop growing. I've also heard weight lifting might help you to grow because when you lift your body releases more human growth hormone into your body, thus stimulating growth.Just inquiring.. because it's ironic that people say that weight lifting will stunt your growth... cause i just so happen to be into that back when i hit puberty and on for until i was about 16-17.
