Black metal used to be my favorite subgenre but over the last year or so I kind of lost interest in it. Still listen to it a bit but mainly just Emperor and Burzum.

Heh I'm listening basically exclusively to metal atm, and among that almost exclusively to thrash/death metal.
I listen to a whole myriad of genres, but lately I've been digging metalcore/metal

which Metalcore bands have you been listening too? Mostly Converge and Suicide Silence. Honestly though there is so much to listen to, although a lot of it starts sounding the same after awhile
edit* also I played some Bring Me The Horizon after so long. Their first album is still really fun
You may like Killing the Dream, The Chariot, Botch and Dillinger Escape Plan if you dig those bands.
Maybe Cursed and Jesus Lizard too.

I have my ups and downs with it. I'm always in the mood for a good progressive rock song or alt rock song, but I need to be in the right mood to listen to metal. When I am into it, its almost exclusively death and black, and their various sub-sub genres.

Other than listening to Hip-Hop and Rock, I also listen to a few genres of electronic music such as DnB, Dubstep, and House, and I also listen to smooth jazz.
