[QUOTE="HammerSmashBass"]

[QUOTE="rawsavon"] ...blame them for what :? Being a business that is about ratings and doing something to get rating...something that did not 'hurt' anyone??? His people called ESPN. Why would they not do it?pimpog

It's about principles and being a legitimate network. ESPN is always trying to make LBJ bigger than the league when he's not. Dude hasn't even come close to winning a ring and they act like he runs the NBA.

ESPN hypes stars not just LBJ you really dislike him huh ??

I don't really dislike him, but he is one of the only single athletes that I pull against. The people around him since he was a kid helped turn him into the giant ego-maniac we see today.

Whatever, though. He can "continue his greatness in Miami" I suppose.

he's the best player in the nba right now, bar none. he's a douchebag spitting in cleveland fan's face on national television though. why not just sign with another team like every other player ever? why did he need to do that?

i hold no grudges though and i'm a clevelander...

lazerface216

I'll take Kobe over LBJ all day, even at this stage.

[QUOTE="rawsavon"]LULZ ESPN is a TV network, not a church. They want ratings (hence why they talk about the Yanks, Sox, Cowboys, and Lakers so much). Lebron special = ratings = money for them

Money isn't everything. I wouldn't sacrifice who I am just to get more money.

No one said anything about church, it's just sad that ESPN is willing to contribute to this prima donna bull**** that's killing the game of basketball.

The other person that responded to my post said 'morals'. And ESPN is not what is killing Basketball.

Kevin Durant>Lebron youger, already as good of a scorer and works hard to get better. lebron still hasn't improved his jump shot or developed a post game

well that's your opinion. i feel lebron's slightly ahead as far as an all around player but no doubt, durant's a beast.

The look at me prima donna attitude is a very large part of what has crippled basketball, and ESPN eats it up.

i think basketball is the best its been this decade. the east and west are more balanced and almost every team has a "superstar" type player

Money is not everything but it can buy most everything. Glad your not the ceo of a company or your stocks would be worth less than paper they were written on. ESPN makes programs that they think people want to see. How long would they last if they started only doing stories on the nice guys on the end of the bench ??

Some of the stars are very cocky but they have a right to be if they can back it up imo.

ESPN gives the people what they want (they do not decide what people want) Colin Cowherd talks all the time about how different his show would be if he talked about the stuff he wanted to...but he gives the public what it wants. You have no one to blame for ESPN's programming choices but yourself (yourself being society)

Agreed. Wade has shown that he has the stones to carry a team to a championship--James hasn't.

having them both on the same team is redundant. they basically have the same offensive game type. they rely on driving to the basket and creating plays that way. when they're both on the court one of them us basically useless on offense

Great player -seems to lack that killer instinct -a little full of himself (who wouldn't be after being told you are the greatest since age 15) -did what he wanted to with his career (good for him) -a little stubborn (does not want to run the point)rawsavon

I like this response.
