shifting flour on a table. The Noise and the feel is just too weird for me. brings shivers down my spine...
My best friend also has a phobia of cotton balls, she quite literally gets physically sick when she touches them.
Myself, I have an irrational fears of windows at night. As a child I had recurring nightmares that there were dead people hanging out side my window. I'm not really scared of them now per se, but I instinctly never sleep facing windows now.
turtles, snails, sometimes even fish, I find those animals super intresting and cool but would hate to touch them
I also have a huge phobia of needles but that's pretty common
I'm paranoid about falling asleep if my stomach is full because I always think I'll throw up and choke to death on my own vomit in my sleep.ChampionoChumps

Ahh, so I'm not alone. What a relief.Stepping over the threshold and into a lift (elevator for Americans). I have an overwhelming and irrational fear the cable will break and the lift will plummet down the shaft at the precise point I'm stepping over the threshold, thus cutting me in 2 or - at the very least – removing a limb/head.
When I was very young, a large green cooking pot my mother used to use evoked a deep sense of fear in me. I'm okay with cooking pots these days though, whatever the colour.
Well not rare nor weird fears, but they're annoying. I'm terrified beyond belief of needles, whenever I have to get an injection I just zone out as best as possible and try not to look at the needle, nor react to it going into my skin. Since my skin is highly sensitive, then I feel it considerably.
I'm also scared of the dark, have been since I was a kid. I'm always terrified that someone who had hurt me deeply when I was a child is lurking there just waiting for me to lower my guard, makes sleeping a misery.
I'm also scared of being touched, linked to my fear of the dark. I tend to feel like running away or screaming in fear whenever anyone touches me, even if it's just a brief touch or an accidental one.
But I always face my fears, not that I have a lot of success, but I face them as best as able every day.
Wow poor you :( Hopefully you'll feel less scared in the near future. Those are crippling fearsWell not rare nor weird fears, but they're annoying. If the volume is set on any device (TV, radio, etc) to an odd number, I think something bad is going to happen. Ill be sitting in a car, twitching uncontrollably, and will eventually fiddle with the knob. I dont care if it is one notch to quiet or one notch too loud, it has got to be at an even number!
None myself, but a close friend of mine is horribly scared of wrists, which is kinda weird. If you just run your finger from your palm, up your arm he will actually start shouting a little and back off from you :P
I think he said it's because they seem really vulnerable or something... strange.
wow i'm surpirsed at the sheer vairety of fears... I thought it would be a thread overrun by arachnophobia and claustrophobia :?
These guys. I'm not really scared of lizards in general but these guys scare to hell out of me because of a supposedly true story my mom once told me about one of them once killing a 2 year old baby by inserting itself through her privates and eating the baby's inside, being that she had a dirty diaper ( they have an affinity to eat garbage)t hat was left sleeping in a blanket at the beach. I remember freezing in terror when i saw one scurrying about close to me when i lived on the island.

OMG!! I had that happen to! I don't think I was afraid of looking out the windows at night but I always sleep with my head turned away from any window even today.
Did you think that you where awake when you had those dreams?
I'm scared of doing something really stupid for no reason at all, like taking my clothes off and running nakedthrough a town center. The fact that I could possibly do it scares me, but I know I wont so it shouldn't, but then I might just lose it one day and well you never know. :P
HINT/TIP - I catch spiders all the time..but if you don't like them moving,,, along with wasps, flying insects...various bug things. Keep a can of hairspray, the arisol kind (like an air freshener spray) and you can spray the bug even from a distance and freeze it. The wings freeze up the legs freeze up etc. kind of cruel but it does the trick if you don't want to get stung.
Other than that. Grasshoppers & Clausterphobic. really.

You would be surprise as to how many actually exist. Try counting more, you'll find them. They are everywhere...
