Being honest about something negative but trivial mostly results in humiliation for the person. It's uncalled for all the same.

I procrastinate... a lot... I'm also a very shy person / Don't interact with people that often. Even when they interact with me, i'll probably just smile, nod and be on my way.

Again, objectively, that is what it should be. Weighing subjective emotions however, totally changes how it works. Apply objectivity towards what will affect you by being more persistent in your query if you want the truth out of people, as it is your ideal.

I don't think it's rude to be honest when asked a question. If someone can't handle the answer, they shouldn't ask the question in the first place. If I had an ugly haircut, I'd want to know instead of making a fool of myself. Same goes for the dreaded "Do I look fat in this dress?" question. I'd want to know the truth so I can get my fat ass (if that's the case) back in shape. Or, you know, wear another dress.

Ok, then be persistent if you feel someone is lying. It is your ordeal, many others are fine with white lies that generate positivity.

Definitely misspoke. I wouldn't say it's "not selfish", but I wouldn't say it's "selfish" either, just too subjective for me to weigh at the moment. On a whole though, I feel that it's an acceptable approach all the same.

[QUOTE="Victorious_Fize"] Ok, then be persistent if you feel someone is lying. It is your ordeal, many others are fine with white lies that generate positivity.

I wouldn't be persistent. But I wouldn't be offended if someone was honest after I asked them something, even if it's not something I'd want to hear.

I can't take criticsm very well. And I tend to over-analyze situations, which can be a real pain in the ass when you're trying to have fun.
