Do you guys prefer to get your games on release day, or wait until the GOTY/Complete edition is out with all of the DLC included? I recently changed my policy on games and I'd rather wait until all of the DLC is released; this also allows all the bugs to be fixed by this time. What do you guys think?

Depends on the game. Games that I really want to play I buy for release day, otherwise I'll usually wait until they go on sale.

When they're on sale or if it's one of my most anticipated games then I'll pre-order it, but that's a rare occurance outside of the Kingdom Hearts series.

When I get my monthly allowance of $10 or $20 games. If my computer didn't break, I'd have way the hell more Steam games.

Depends how badly I want it.

Will probably buy halo 4 online as soon as possible.

I'd get Bayonetta 2 day 1 assuming I have a Wii-U by then.

Whenever I have money I should probably put towards other things.

91% of the time I wait for a game to go no sale before I buy it.

Very few games do I buy on or around release day. In fact I've only bought two on release day this generation ('Grand Theft Auto IV' and 'God of War III') and one the same week of release ('Uncharted 3'). Most others I wait a while and buy once they've gone way down in price (though I managed to get both 'GoW 3' and 'Uncharted 3' for $20).

Usually would like to play on release day, but if not, then that is fine too. Also, it depends on which game, if it is a FPS (Halo, CoD, etc.) then I want to play on release day.

I rarely buy games these days since I rarely find myself in front of my Xbox. Every once and a while I'll pick up a game for cheap. A couple of months ago I bought Red Dead Redemption at Target for $13 and it was my first purchase since around 2010.

Pretty much this. Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 were the last games I was hell bent on playing and wanted on release. Otherwise I'll just get the game when ever.
