When do you think is an appropriate age to lose your virginity?

I was reading this topic on "When did you lose your virginity" http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=27509654&page=0

Right here on OT and there are people on this site that lost there virginity at 16, 15, and I even saw someone on here who lost their virginity at the age of 12! There were people on here that were 20+ and were still virgins (I'm 20 and still a virgin).

So at what age do you think it'sappropriate to lose your virginity? Do you think there is an age limit? Is it never too late to lose it?

In my opinion the first time should be when you're ready. I feel though as if most teenagers are pressured (Especially boys) into having sex at an early age. And I don't think there is like some sort of limit.That's just my opinion. Like when I started working, some of my co-workers that were sort of my age (early 20s)were surprised that I am still a virgin.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Especially in High School. I'm glad I'm out of that hell hole. It seemed like every other day someone was getting laid and someone was talking about it. In my school it was like that.

It varies from person to person. Some are more mature than others, some find their first love early or late, etc. A lot of teenagers just wants to get rid of their virginity asap, not caring whether the sexual partner is someone special or not. I'm 17, and I rather wait for someone I have strong feelings for. I've had plenty of chances to get laid, and I didn't use any of them, and I don't regret it either..:)

i dont get the idea where you should wait for someone you truly care about. Thats just rediculous, sex is sex, feels good so why put it off untill you find someone "special" chances are you are not going to marry the first girl you slam so i dont think it even makes a difference if you dont remember her name. Besides the sooner you get it out of the way and the more you do it the better you will be at it when you do find that special person.

Preferably not before 16 or the legal age, but who cares? If people love or even don't love each other, so long as there is consent and not flagrant age differences, I don't see a problem.

But seriously, I don't think there's an 'age' to lose it. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm all for the whole 'wait until you're married' dealie. What if your partner once had amazing sex with some person and you totally fail at matching it? Or what if it's the other way around?

Depends on the person, I'd say.

I have no interest in other's sex life whatsoever, therefore I have no opinion on an "appropriate age". I have my personal morals as to when I'll lose my own virginity, but I really can't set an age on that.

Herpa derpa rates of teen pregnancy would probably suggest people shouldn't be having sex as young as they are. Still, whatever age they feel ready since it is their choice.
