A: The US addondons Isreal and it goes back to its previous owners

B: The US takes over all Arabic countries.

Ofcourse much like with the war of drugs in columbia if "B" happens those countries will fight tooth and nail agaist the US from the inside.

Trying to play hardass does nothing because I can guarantee that the people we are fighting are more dedicated to their cause than Americans will ever be. We're fighting for what? If we don't need the Middle East for oil directly or indirectly (because any adverse social movements there will effect the price of oil), we don't need to be there physically (this is Osama Bin Laden's primary motivation for declaring war on the United States; I direct you to his declaration of war), we don't need to fund regimes that support terrorism, like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, and we don't have to worry about anything that goes on there because the whole region will be marganilized and irrelevant. If we don't have soldiers stationed on Middle Eastern soil they lose a primary motivator and propaganda piece. If we don't need oil, we don't have to spend millions keeping the Saudi and Pakistani regimes in power.
