Haha not yet since it is the only Hot Toys figure I've got left after I sold my Original Costume TDK Batman, but I'd be sure to PM you if I decide to eventually.[QUOTE="Commander-Gree"]

Want to sell it? :) I'm on the waiting list.

One question about that piece: are the throwing daggers/swords actually made of metal or are they plastic?
His dagger, sword, hidden blades, and throwing knives are all plastic but something cool about them is that he has enough slots on his belt to hold all of his blades at once. I found somebody here selling a practically new one for $205 shipped in the US. I get a lot of stuff from people there. The aftermarket for Hot Toys stuff is a nightmare, so that's not too bad a price with shipping all things considered.[QUOTE="worlock77"]
[QUOTE="WasntAvailable"]I mean who really cares if it's rare? So are STD's, doesn't mean you should try and collect them.
WasntAvailable
Wha? Bu...bu...but that's been my hobby for ten years now.
Collecting STD's? To be honest, there are worse hobby's.
Yup. Gotta catch them all!
Many of the replies here imply they are for children.[QUOTE="Rekunta"][QUOTE="worlock77"]
Who said they were?
worlock77
Do they, or are you just reading that into them?
"I haven't bought an action figure since I was 12."
"I don't buy action figures, I am not 12 years old."
"uuuh im not in the 5th grade anymore so i wouldn't be buying them in the first pace"
"Buying action figurines past the age of 13 is a depressing thought."
Not really sure how else I'm supposed to read into those. :? Their implications are pretty clear...

That first one you quote was mine and it was an implication of nothing, but simply a statement of fact.

Fair enough. The other three are though.
I bought an iron man mark vi and a spiderman power punch action figures at walmart. I think im just gonna keep them unopened.
Most of mine are opened and displayed around my room. I don't care about collecting them only to sell them. I just like collecting them and having them on display.
It loses 70 percent of the value when you open it.[QUOTE="harashawn"]What's the point of buying an action figure if you're not going to play with it?slipknot0129
In almost every single case whatsoever, it's gonna lose almost all of it value in a few years regardless of whether or not you open it.
As if 5 years down the line, anyone's actually going to want to buy the action figures that you've been collecting.
[QUOTE="harashawn"]But you can't play with it if you don't open it. Yep; not playing with it makes it lose ALL of its value. Because it is a toy. To be played with.[QUOTE="slipknot0129"]It loses 70 percent of the value when you open it.
xaos
Exactly.
It's like the 90's comic book speculator market, with people spending dumbass amounts of money on "limited edition" comic books, and then not even bothering to read the damn things because they were afraid of damaging the pages and thus lowering the long-term value of the comic.
And in that case, congratulations on just throwing your money down the damn toilet.

I like the look of the action figures being in their box better than them being out. I might take mine out of the box.It loses 70 percent of the value when you open it.[QUOTE="slipknot0129"]

Most cases, yes. But some only gain value, look at the figures from the original Star Wars trilogy....mint condition they can be very expensive. 'Course they're over 30 years old, but most figures today won't be worth anything near that that long after. There's a few today that have exploded though; the Lego Tumbler from Batman Begins is now fetching over $300 on ebay unopened. I wish I had known while buying mine, I'd have cleaned out the whole store of their supply. So yea it's pretty rare, but it does still happen. Please Log In to post.
