Pretty much. Vancouver has East Hastings, Calgary has its seedy spots (although I've never see anything as bad as East Hastings before), and Toronto sounds like your typical overlarge US city, like maybe a Canadian Los Angeles or something.

Can't say anything about Vancouver or Calgary, but yeah, some parts of Toronto are pretty bad. One time, my aunt and uncle took my cousin to the bad parts to scare him when he was a kid :P

this question might be a little silly but I have to ask. I know Finland has many forests and stuff with a small population. But from your view how is it? I really thought of going there for a while but now I think it's small. What do you think? Comparisons would be lovely...

Well, this place is certainly not just a forest with cottages. I haven't travelled a lot so I can't give good comparsions. :?
The citys we have are not as huge and populated as other European places, there's still people though.

If you dig nature you should definitely check Finland out. We don't have any metropolitans, the cities are more of a vintage model I think those vintage places are pretty nice actually.

I can't really speak for the whole of Finland and my description is a bit shallow.

Mainly this is a place of nature. We have fresh air. :P
