weather disasters, volcanoes, tornadoes, tsunamis and earthquakes, plasma being shot out by the sun and bombs of nuclear proportions being dropped from the skies.

where can the safest place be? underground subway??

DangerHiVoltage

I'd say underground near the equator where the atmosphere and the Earth's magnetic belt are thickest. That would be also be the best location to avoid the spread of nuclear fallout. The temperate regions of both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres have strong jetstreams that could spread the nuclear fallout.

Unfortunately, the equator's also hot and sweltering year-round. I've been to the Philippines and Colombia. I would've been miserable in those places without A/C. Bogota's not too bad though since it lies over 8000 ft above sea level.
