Which major political party do you follow, share ideas/principles with, or are a member of?

I couldn't fit the Green party in, since the Constitutional Party preceded them in fouding, and the Constitutional Party actually has seats in the senate.

Anyways, I'm a Democrat from Minnesota and I'm part of the DFL as well, the Democratic Farmer LaberParty.

I'm an Independent. :)

I tend to lean Dem, but I hold a good deal of conservative "values" though. It just that when I listen to the nutjobs (Limbaugh/Hannity/Ingrahm/Boortz) on AM radio, I find myself rarely agreeing with them.

Nominally I'm a Libertarian, but I'll support anyone who can actually follow through on their campaign promises.

I am a conservative Republican. I have a couple of more liberal beliefs, but overall, I'm very conservative. I am not religious and I remain open-minded. However, I am firm in my beliefs, and I don't see myself changing them drastically anytime soon. :)

I'm a registered Democrat but consider myself more of an old school Democrat (although I was born in the 90s): ie. More of a Kennedy type than a Clinton type and certainly not an Obamist. Maybe I'll go with the terms Reagan Democrat or Conservative Democrat (though not in the sense of Southern pro-Slavery Dems).

I'm registered Democrat mostly because of my family: My mother's side is mostly Democrats (My Mother's Uncle actually was the Democratic Deputy Mayor of my City, before my friend's Republican father defeated the mayor in 2004 and became mayor, now my uncle is a town councilor) and my Father's side is not politically affiliated. Plus I live in CT, which is mostly Dems. That being said I don't think Bush is as bad as people make him out to be and most people in my family don't care for Obama.

Basically I like the Democrats as they were pre-1960s (ie. when they were the party of the working class rather than the party of the crazy ideologies like Culture of Death Feminism, Gender Ideology, Class warfare, Black Power, etc.).

I tend to lean Dem, but I hold a good deal of conservative "values" though. It just that when I listen to the nutjobs (Limbaugh/Hannity/Ingrahm/Boortz) on AM radio, I find myself rarely agreeing with them.

I still voted McCain. I'm still a little weary of Obama's inexperience as a leader. But hey, the people voted him into office, so I wish him well.

I am independent, but my views fall quite squarely in the "libertarian" realm; I'm highly conservative on economics, but I am completely apathetic on social issues like gay marriage and abortion.

He's a good politician, bad governor. Dude has nothing to offer except to put his hands in his pocket and sit behind his desk. That way he can't be faulted for anything and just look to a possible presidential run. When the terrible budget numbers came out last month and he was going to meet with members of the legislature to discuss the situation, but instead went to Israel.... to brush up his resume.

May I ask where in the Twin Cities? I'm curious because I live in a suburb of St. Paul. By the way, how 'bout them Gophers yesterday? I know they didn't play well, but a win at the Kohl Center is hard none the less.

I think I'm going to bookmark this thread for the next time some Repub tries to play the "Victim Card" and claim that Repubs are a super-minority here in the OT. :)

Going by this poll, I would say it's the Dems who are in the minority here in the OT. Why? Because I count all the Libertarian votes as another vote for the conservative/Repubs since I've never met a Libertarian who voted Dem. I've only seen them claim to begrudginly vote for Repubs.
