Poll Which Chicken restaurant is the best - KFC, Pop-Eye's, or Chik-Fil-A (59 votes)

KFC is the best 31%
Pop-Eyes has the best chicken ... and Shrimp! 22%
Chik-Fil-A is the best 47%

So which of those three chicken joints is the best? Who has the best food and which one has the best deals? Are they all the same, how do they compare to each other?

I've only tried KFC, but I've seen commercials for Pop-Eye's and some of their stuff look pretty good (like the dipping chicken). There aren't any Chik-Fil-A's in CT to my knowledge so I can't try them, but there is a Pop-Eye's. Would any of you recommend Pop-Eye's?

Popeyes for me. The quality of KFC's food has gone down in recent years, and I think it's bullshit that they don't even include drinks with their meals, while most every other restaurant out there does. Never eaten at a Chik-fil-a, so i can't comment on them.

Really? Wow.. I remember reading that the recipe was completely butchered and was just crispy coating flavored with MSG, not sure if that's true or just in one store but in the UK KFC is pretty much the only big chain chicken fast food available and is brilliant, juicy crispy coated chicken dripping in fat and grease that's been stewing in the flavors for days... Oh I do love KFC.

It gets to the point that there's more grease than actual chicken. I ordered a two piece a few years back--there was a visible pool of grease inside one of the pieces of chicken. That was the last time I ate anything from KFC.

Never had Chik-Fil-A, but only because there are none around me. So out of the other two, I vote KFC, but Popeyes has better biscuits. If there was a Chik-Fil-A around, I would eat there a lot just because I believe in freedom of expression (regardless if I agree with it or not) and would support them to show it.

Fixed that for you. The whole Chik-Fil-A thing had nothing to do with standing up for freedom of expression.

Cry more.
Cry more.

Just because I'm correct.

Nobody was trying to force them not to say what they want. Just very stupid people like you pretend that was happening as it makes you look like you were fighting for good rather than evil.

lol you are and idiot...good and evil doesn't have shit to do with it for me. It is starting to become entertaining seeing how it works in your head. But you go ahead and keep on thinking it has something to do with "good vs evil".....HAHAHAHAHA man that's funny.

Why don't you tell me how you are supposedly standing up to freedom of expression? Nobody was trying to silence them. They however were trying to silence homosexuals. If you supported freedom of expression you would have supported the other side.

I'd love to try Chik-Fil-A for some reason. I'm getting the vibe that they're expensive compared to other chicken joints, but they have a variety of chicken cooked in different ways. I think they're healthier too? Like they offer grilled chicken breast and whatnot.

I don't think I'd like KFC. Deep fried chicken with heaps of salt? I'll pass.

Yes, Chik-Fil-A has grilled chicken sandwiches and they are good. Are they a bit more expensive? A bit, but worth it. I love their milkshakes too. The girls always ask if I want whipped cream and a cherry on it even though that is the only way to serve a milkshake properly.

Chikfila has by far the best chicken sandwhich of the fast food joints. Hands down. Popeyes has better crispy bone-in chicken than the other two. And KFC has the best all around menu.

Chick Fil A's grilled sandwiches are actually quite healthy. Whole wheat buns, low calorie, and you can get a fruit cup in place of fries.

I primarily buy chicken strips from those places (Well, excluding chik-fil-A since i can count the number I times I've been there using one hand) which popeyes wins pretty easily given there's strip meals are the best (Popeyes fries and biscuit FTW!)...

Church's Chicken Restaurant is actually second when it comes to strip meals. Just wish they weren't so stingy with the fries...

Yes it does. Chik-Fil-A was funding hate groups that were bent on destroying freedom of religion, expression, and sexuality. People decided they didn't want to indirectly fund such groups and so decided to boycott Chik-Fil-A.

Chick-fil-a > Popeye's > KFC

I love Chick-fil-a; the sandwiches and even the salads are downright delicious. I also enjoy Popeye's, especially the cajun fries, but the chicken is nowhere near Chickfila. As for KFC, I like the original recipe chicken...well mostly the skin.

Popey's? I didn't know the Vatican had gotten into the fried chicken business.

Or I can not support either side and just not get involved and be okay with him expressing himself. But that's not an option in your head.

There's a difference between expressing yourself and actively working to suppress the rights of others. A big goddamn difference.

You mean just like there is a difference in expressing yourself and actively trying to run a Christian bakery out of business for standing up for their own beliefs.

I guess you don't believe in free market principals.

WTF you smoking? Free market principals had nothing to do with it.

It had everything to do with it. The business offended consumers. Those consumers took their patronage elsewhere. If that's not the free market at work then I don't know what is.

Wow you really that clueless on what happened huh, funny. No, they harassed the hell out of the bakery and vendors as well as made threats until the company had to close it's doors. Get your facts straight on the case before responding again because I am not going to sit here and educate you on what happened. Use google.

Get your facts straight. The bakery did not close, it is still in operation. They simply moved it to their home after losing too much business to maintain the storeplace they were operating from. It happens. People do not own a business their patronage. As for the supposed harassment of vendors I've never seen anything to indicate that that was more than, at most, a handful of people. And I don't necessarily buy into the alleged threats ether as the only people who mentioned those threats are the bakery owners. To be frank after not only the initial incident, but their attitude afterward and later posting racial slurs on their Facebook page (then later saying they were hacked) their credibility is a little suspect.

Do you have issues understanding what you read? I said they had to close their doors to the bakery and they did. I didn't say they went out of business. Yes they had to move it to their home. And of cause you would only hear from the bakers about the threats......Because they were the ones receiving the threats....DERP!!! And I never once claimed the bakery was innocent in all this, but that doesn't change the fact that the gays harassed and threaten the bakers and harassed the vendors.

So every gay person in the world got together and decided they should harass them? Are you trying to make yourself look like a mentally challenged bigot?

Chick-Fil-A, I may not like their nutty Christian backing, but damn they make good stuff, and their Asian chicken salad is pretty bomb, their spicy chicken sandwich is pretty good, I dig their waffle fries and the variety of sauces to dip them in, and their sweetened iced-T is greatness. Plus the staff is nice, they walk out to your table and offer to get you a refill, or they bring you your food.

I can look past the fiasco over their anti-LGBT stance, most fast food restaurants are a haven that disregards human decency of their workers and people in general.

It's not so much that the owners hold an anti-gay stance, everyone is entitled to their own views, no matter how assbackwards. It's that they fund organizations that are actively involved in oppressing gay rights. As a consumer I will not knowingly give money to anyone who may use the money they get from me to support causes that I find repugnant.

You really think the profit from a $5 dollar meal will make that much difference. Besides being against gay-marriage does not make one "anti-gay". What about gay people who oppose gay marriage, they wouldn't be "anti-gay" would they be?

Also then you shouldn't donate to some "Gay rights" organizations because they may be oppressing the rights of gays in some ways or others (for instance trying to prevent them from seeking psychiatric care, or forcing gay Christian photographers to photograph gay weddings against their beliefs).

I would edit in the extra e, but whatever already noticed and the slogans good.
