For me I'd say US, Africa or Sweden

List of countries I would absolutely not go to under any circumstances right now:
There are a lot of countries I don't want to visit yet live in them. Some of them are North Korea, Somalia, (South) Sudan, Zimbabwe, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, South Africa, Jamaica, Haiti, dom. rep., Serbia, Sao Tome, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, a lot of african countries and a lot I probably missed. It's kinda hard to chose "the" worst.
@plageus900:
Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous. The US is nowhere near as bad as North Korea and Somalia. Personally, I'd instead put it in the same list as the likes of Mexico, South Africa, China and Bulgaria; countries I'd visit under the right circumstances, but would not stay for longer than three weeks, and living there for any extended period is out of the question.

yeah same here. I would like to see some stuff like the Gran Canion or Niagra falls, maybe even Las Vegas or New York. But really, I would just rush through the country and leave it forever.
@ArchoNils2:
Exactly that idea. My itinerary would consist of things like seeing the Grand Canyon, touring the Smithsonian, grabbing a quick look at Hollywood, and maybe having a walk down New Orleans if I have time. Then leave and never return.
I thoroughly enjoyed my three trips to USA (New York and Orlando x2) and am definitely looking at visiting other states in the future! I think people don't know how good they've got it sometimes...How can you possibly say countries like USA or Sweden are the 'worst' in the world? First world countries with great infrastructure/jobs/tourism etc etc? Go on holiday to Greece and have to put your bog roll in a bin rather than the toilet!

You are joking, right? Greece is full of culture and some islands like Santorini or Crete are beautiful to visit. Naming Greece is just as stupid as naming the US or Sweden.
@goodzorr: I rather put my bog roll in a bin than live in constant grayness. Greece over Sweden any time.
@ArchoNils2: Haha I didn't elaborate. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday in Halkidiki, but putting your toilet paper in the bin is very infuriating.
As a Greek, I visited Amsterdam recently and it was weird having to dispose of my bog roll in the toilet. I'm glad you got over our bins here...
Where did you stay in Halkidiki btw?
Did I miss something? is this now about the worst first world country? I'd rather put my toilet in a bag in a snowy village than dying from hunger or being murdered.

That's what my family said about most of the countries in Europe. They had a lot more fun visiting the resorts at Antalya, Turkey despite looking Third World at times.
"Bunch of closet bigots".......according to the wife when I reminded her of our last trip to Europe.

Antalya is a beautiful place. Too bad Erdogan went insane. It's on my no-go list by now.

If Israeli tourists think it's safe enough, it probably is. One thing I learned about Turkey is no matter who is at the top, the people on the streets have always been easy to get along with. The Turks are among the most honest people I ever met. I trust their honesty more than say, the polite smiles of the Japanese.

Well obviously, otherwise there's not really a debate when North Korea and Somalia are in the mix.

I'm not sure mate, I was 18 at the time so it was ten years ago. I remember doing the Greek dance where it starts off slowly and gets faster and faster and you all link arms/shoulders and get super drunk on Ouzo (which is vile!). The owner of where we stayed got so drunk he drove his scooter in to the swimming pool.

You've never been to Sweden in the summer I hear, there's a reason why the rich of half of europe go here at summer time and buy summer house in Sweden.

I've personally never been to Sweden, I am however going to be visiting Copenhagen in December so I'll almost be there ;) Scandinavia as a whole is on my list of places to go, especially as it's so accessible from the UK
@kaealy: oh yes I have, many times. Swedish summer is the worst summer I have experienced. It's good in comparison to Swedish winter. Makes you appreciate the summer more.
But compared to other countries, Swedish summer is garbage. Rain, grayness and chilly nights. Compared to turquoise water, sand beaches, palms, color, flowers etc. Sweden doesn't hold a candle. Better than Finland or Siberia, maybe...
Yes there's some dutch people who go because they want to experience what low population density is like.

Ah yes our famous sirtaki dance. And ouzo is quite strong so it's usually accompanied by all sorts of delicious appetizers. Seems like you had a traditional greek feast. Greece may be in the middle of a severe economic crisis but it remains a hugely attractive holiday destination.
This has to be a troll post and yet so many are taking it seriously! TC doesn't even know Africa isn't a country. Sweden and U.S. are rated towards the top end of best places to live.
Out of the countries I've been to (BEEN TO!!!) I have to say Italy; freaking street urchins grabbing for your wallet, pickpockets, drunks passed out in the streets, a billion scooters everywhere, Rome smells like cigarette smoke and shitty car exhaust...honestly, if it wasn't for the historical sites and food, I would not have enjoyed it at all.
Yes I know there are far worse countries out there, but I can't speak from experience so there you go.
@mrbojangles25: I somewhat agree with you on this. We were heading to Rome train station in the morning, some random guy grabbed our luggages, got us through the crowds inside the train, and demanded money straightaway. To be honest, I never felt safe in Rome. Florence was a lot better.
@Sam3231:
Agreed, U.S. is the best country or among the best, it's also certainly one of the most diverse and beautiful. We do have a share of haters here in the forums, or at least pretend to be.
There are a few blemishes. For example, along I-10 at the Texas and Louisiana border. Be careful about stopping for gas at the elevated part of the freeway if you're not white. The queer glances you get from the locals is enough to tell you not to tarry too long. Get your gas and go. Pronto. Every time I pass that area, I gassed up at Houston and drove straight through.
One of the few places where the hair at the back of my neck stood up. It reminds me of stumbling into a neo-Nazi compound.
Same goes for southern Illinois, southern Indiana, northern Kentucky......
Pakistan. No question.
Sweden is a beautiful country, I was there 3 times this year. Highly recommend.
If the SJW/Feminism situation in the US does not improve, then the US will be the worst soon enough.
If the immigration situation in Europe does not improve, then Britain or Germany will be the worst soon enough.
It's hard to nail down. But, it would have to be a place where people don't use deodorant....and don't take frequent baths. Sure, I eventually adjust. But, that takes a while. In the meantime, the multiple aromas of fermenting underarms and other body odors can be overwhelming. It's hard to not cover my nose even though such an action may be considered insulting to the locals.
Similarly, up in the frigid north, many people don't take frequent baths and just cover up their body odor with deodorants.
Everybody in the world knows that CANADA is the worst country! With their beady little eyes and flapping heads...it's just silly, really, how atrocious Canadians are! What a shit hole!
Ireland. I've never seen so many wannabe white people in my life.
If you're not blonde and blue eyed, you're not white.

Visit the west coast of Norway...
Anyhow, why not make a plan for moving to another country?
