Without cancer over population will rapidly increase, I'd rather sit on the fence in this discussion

I would rather have scientists come up with the cure for the common cold. I have a terrible head cold right now and winter is coming around and it's going to be worse.

I know they have mucinex, Robitisson, and ibuprofein, but those are for temporary relief.

It would be nice if I never have to have a pesky cold again and I get them so, so much.

And, I know it can happen to anyone, but I can't ever see myself getting cancer. I'm active and I don't smoke. I also don't have anybody too close to me that has passed away from cancer.

How about you?

Let's see, a cure for an illness that passes with time and isn't very serious, or a cure for a disease that is almost always fatal... Let's think

By the way, my uncle passed away from cancer a few years ago, and he was the most active person I knew and didn't smoke a day in his life.

Was Lance Armstrong a smoker? And wasn't he pretty active, you know with the Tour de France and all that? Activity and non-smoking don't prevent cancer. Common cold? How many people die of common colds? Now think about how many people die of cancer. What a ridiculously idiotic question. I know people that have DIED from cancer, and I sure as hell wish they were still alive. I'm offended that anyone would even pick the common cold. Oh boo hoo for you, you're feeling a little sick!

cold.

disease is natures way of keeping the population low, just a part of the circle of life. dont get me wrong, two members of my family have cancer and i dont want them to die. i just see the world getting so overpopulated and the world becoming just overused, out of resources, and ending.

Whoa. You're right. I never thought about it that way at all. I feel really stupid now.

I thought it would have been between HIV/AIDS and cancer.
