There are a lot of them out there. A few are free. Which one do you think is the best. It seems Match.com is the most mainstream ans the most used. Have you ever met someone off the net. I hooked up with this really hot chick of craigslist once, but that is it.

I don't use any (except one I will detail later), but I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

Okcupid is pretty much Sluts R Us in my experience and the experience of others, so its not a big place for serious relationships, but during a cold streak or exam time its a good way to get a date or meet a new girl when social interaction is low at the time for you or you aren't in a relationship.

Plus its perfect for cyberstalkers, so I don't feel guilty telling you about it.

That's EXACTLY what they're trying to do, it's just that finding a partner online is sometimes more viable in an otherwise busy life.

pof is pretty sweet. I met a couple chicks on there. I also met my current girlfriend on there. Been 2 years. There were some psychos though, holy crap. I wouldn't bother messaging anyone unless they have a pic. I figured that out the hard way. I was so embarrassed just to be seen with this one lady.

That's an older way of thinking. Net dating is quite common now (some sites have millions of members). These days, it's common for people to use both online and face-to-face methods. I've been using both for years and I've scored far more dates in total than my friends who only do it the "old fashioned" way. After hearing my stories, a couple of them caved and now they're doing it too.

I think the idea of an Internet age hasn't completely sunk in for a lot of people, even though the Net is in our face everyday. We use the Net for everything else, why not use it for dating too? Keep in mind that a net date ends up being face-to-face anyway. The difference is that she's not just some random that you met on the way back from the bar - you actually have some background info, so your approach and angle can be more effective. I met a girl through my dancing classes a month ago and it was only last night that I found out she had a boyfriend. Online, I would've known instantly. It's just another avenue for meeting people with its own set of pros and cons.
