I personally would rather go to a pub or bar any day. I just don't see the purpose of clubs, and I have to be in the right mood. Don't see the enjoyment in watching your girlfriend or partner having some other dudes package that close to them on the dance floor. Then someone elbowing you in the face repeatadly due to lack of space, in a room devoid of air and replaced by the stagnant smell of B.O. Anyone who claims it's social is kidding themselves, you couldn't hear a nuke go off when your in there let alone the person standing next to you. EndRant.

What do you guys prefer to dowhen heading out on the town with your friends or partner?

Bars definately. Ain't nothing like having some cold beers and relax and talk ****.

Clubbing is fun, but they're way too crowded imo, and dancing isin't that fun. Best place to get some ladies though.

Depends on my mood. It isn't a one-size fits all moods proposition.

Pubs, always. Pubs are a culture down here, and almost every pub has great food to boot, not to mention everyone is around my age due to the close proximity of two Universities in the downtown area where all the pubs are. I live in Halifax, NS by the way.

I will second that, and because food is the best part of anybody's day, I'm sure.

I guess restaurants since there's food and drinks. Bars/pubs might have a better drink selection, but I'd rather eat good and just drink normal beer.

Bars and pubs easily. Bars moreso than pubs, but either is cool.

I'm growing out of clubs now. I just don't enjoy that kind of atmosphere... some clubs are better than others, but the ones around where I live are all terrible.

A restaurant that has a bar and a club section downstairs. Clubs, pubs, and so on are not as likely to have good food.

No cafe option? I guess I'd go with restaurants then, that serve alcoholic drinks. And REALLY good desert.

Pubs with good food are win win, I was recently at a pub that had excellent food and 50 beers on tap and over 100 bottled beers.

Bars are so overrated. They're all the same, and once you get to be 21, they really aren't that great.

And by 'bar,' I mean any alcohol establishment where you have to be 21 to enter, so that includes clubs and all that too.

Those of you under 21, you really aren't missing much.

it's never been about the pub, or bar, it's about the company my friend. it's not like anyone is living under the impression that bars and pubs are freaking disneyland or something....
