Women, sometimes they make such big fusses over the tiniest things (Friend's BF just wanted to go home but she wouldn't let him cause she believed it was "more than that" :|) and sometimes they show you that there's something wrong but when you ask them, they say it's nothing (As if guys can read minds).Kenny789
Ohh I hate that reading minds thing. Where did women get that we have this incredibly ludicrous ability?

I say women because they seem more comfortable giving hints than coming out and saying what they want. They only resort to the direct approach as a last resort; most women that is.

Jemdude

I agree. Women tend to beat around the bush alot about what they'd like. For the most part men tend to be strait forward about things. I think it's just part of a woman's nature to want stuff to happen without making it happen. Serendipity if you will.

Women are actually very predictable. Anyone who has dated 4 or 5 women know that they all behave mostly the same. All you need is experience with women and dealing with them is just a mater of memory.

The why is easy. Men generally "try" to make decisions based on reason (mind). Women decide things on feelings (heart). So just consider her feelings.

I think both genders have an equal opportunity to be complicated. But of course women have some things men don't go through reguarly, which can add to the mix.

Well obviously the driving force behind a persons emotions change based on the situation. In truth its easier to figure out women then men. Why you ask? Both are predictable, history repeats itself. However when something is bothering a woman she will talk about it. Men tend to hide their feelings more, wanting to deal with issues on their own. And its a foolish cultural myth that all men want are food, sleep, and sex. And it goes to show that women will communicate what they want, feel, need. Men hide it behind simple things as a defense mechanism.

To borrow Jack's advice from 'As Good As It Gets', when trying to figure out a woman, think of a man's thought process but take away reason and accountability.

I agree. Many do not know why they act the way they do...even if it is often very predictable (most people know that a car goes when you press the accelerator, but not why that occurs) Being male though, I more easily understand the 'why' behind male emotions/drives than female

Women are so confused with their own emotions that they need their clique of friends to help them make decisions, while men on the other hand are more decisive and open about stuff if you ask.

I find them both easy to figure out. The mystery stuff is nonsense.
And both male and female have the same desires ultimately.
They have different interpretations though.
The negative interpretations are their shortcomings, their positive ones their strength.
This will determine their success at life.

I still don't see whats so difficult about either gender. We all want the same things, we may just have different priorities we put to them. Their isn't a single desire that men have that women don't and vice versa.

well i personally hate the stereotypical thing of guys only care about sex and sleep. and that we're shallow. everyone saying this all the time only makes girls look down on us, and then when we're not shallow or whatever, its often seen as being wimpish. very irritating, stop stereotyping!!!!

I would like to agree. I think allot of it comes to the quality of parenting and not necessarily the gender. I may be wrong, but I think thats a good part of it. Course there are deviations and other social and biological things that affect women that dont affect men generally.

I think women magazines can be blamed partly for this way of thinking in stereotypes. I normally don't read them, but some of them are... well... consistently using stereotypes for advertisements, and dating tips etc.
Then again, some of the better ones contain parts of peoples lives and letters about personal experiences that often contradict stereotypes. So maybe i'm wrong.
It happens.

Surprisingly this was a honor role girl. 2nd in our class. Although book smarts is different from common sense (on a side note who came up with the name common sense since that kind of sense is most uncommon).
