To be fair, they're, there and their tend to be one of the biggest grammatical errors because people don't know the difference between those words. The other mix-ups you've mentioned tend to be common knowledge, and thus, leaves a lot less excuses when it comes to making such mistakes.

I don't really care, as long as it's readable.

It irks me to no end when people use "an" before a consonant sound and "a" before a vowel sound.

A lot of those are common typos that people make. They understand the grammatical rules, but may just make slip ups.

The best part about reading threads like this (or when grammar ever comes up in a thread) is to see how careful everyone is to use correct grammar. And to see how many more edits there are than usual. And to see how many fragments I can put in one post. :)

None of those issues bother me as much as complete lack of punctuation. You can end a line before a break without a period if you want, that's fine, and you can leave out some commas every once in awhile, but lengthy posts without a single comma or period drive me crazy. We only have language standards so we can understand each other as clearly as possible... So if we want people to really understand us, punctuation can only help....

None of these. The most annoying to me is when someone confuses "good" and "well". Duuuudde, I don't feel good. What now? You are saying that your skin is unpleasant to the touch? Or are you saying your sense of touch is less than on par?

[QUOTE="jeremiah06"][QUOTE="GrandJury"]It really does not bother me since it is an internet forum. Grammar mistakes are bound to happen. I make them sometimes.abdelmessih101
The truth has been spoken!

The fact that it's an internet forum means that I don't mind when people leave out apostrophes or punctuation or when they occasionally shorten words or use abbreviations. However, I can't help but cringe when I see the phrase "your stupid" (my stupid what?) or "there good developers" (where?)

lol Honestly, I chuckle to myself when I see these mistakes, but really you'd have to be fairly high-strung to actually care about those grammatical errors.

I don't consider myself to be high strung. It doesn't really bother me if it's clear that the poster is new to the english language or if it's a laid back conversation or discussion. But anytime someone is trying to argue or make any type of intelligent or thoughtful post, these types of ridiculous grammar mistakes really annoy me. I'm not that guy that will insult someone for bad grammar or try to argue against someone's point on the basis of bad grammar/writing skills (I've seen it done before), but it annoys me because I want to correct it politely but I can't even do that without being called a grammar nazi anymore.
