It irks me to no end when people use "an" before a consonant sound and "a" before a vowel sound.
I, find that, overuse of, commas, is really, y'know, annoying.D_BatteryYeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
A lot of those are common typos that people make. They understand the grammatical rules, but may just make slip ups.
The best part about reading threads like this (or when grammar ever comes up in a thread) is to see how careful everyone is to use correct grammar. And to see how many more edits there are than usual. And to see how many fragments I can put in one post. :)
None of those issues bother me as much as complete lack of punctuation. You can end a line before a break without a period if you want, that's fine, and you can leave out some commas every once in awhile, but lengthy posts without a single comma or period drive me crazy. We only have language standards so we can understand each other as clearly as possible... So if we want people to really understand us, punctuation can only help....
You forgot to include to/too/two, then/than, and further/farther :PYou're guys is just paranoids. Believe me if i where you i wouldnt care just as long i understand what their saying, i spek good gramar and spelling, your just jealous
Welis
[QUOTE="jeremiah06"][QUOTE="GrandJury"]It really does not bother me since it is an internet forum. Grammar mistakes are bound to happen. I make them sometimes.abdelmessih101The truth has been spoken! The fact that it's an internet forum means that I don't mind when people leave out apostrophes or punctuation or when they occasionally shorten words or use abbreviations. However, I can't help but cringe when I see the phrase "your stupid" (my stupid what?) or "there good developers" (where?) lol Honestly, I chuckle to myself when I see these mistakes, but really you'd have to be fairly high-strung to actually care about those grammatical errors.
