I don't have one. I live in Canada it's rare that someone does. I've never even seen a gun besides handguns on the police. I find it kinda weird how you guys are talking about the guns you have. Like what do you use them for?!

Bruno Semi-Automatic (.22)

Lee Enfield No. 4 (.303)

Lee Enfield No. 4 (.762)

Karabiner 98K (.792 converted to .762)

Black Powder Revolver

Over-and-Under Shotgun (12 Gauge)

I'd love some of the guns mentioned on these forums. Gun laws over here are rather strict, though.

Guns can be used for a variety of things. In civilian life, mainly hunting and target shooting. (I would hope)
Guns are collector's items, too. People, like myself, collect (and fire) guns as a hobby. I am fascinated by World War 2 firearms, for example.

Its not that rare, I know many Canadian gun owners. Personally I collect guns, some for their historical value, some for their unique design, some for profit. I have a few that I use for things like IPSC 3 gun competitions, and some for concealed carry and self defense.

[QUOTE="stevenk4k5"]None. I don't feel the need to own one just yet.Mr_Kowaski

when would there ever be a need?

I was discussing gun control laws with a nice Canadian gentlemen and he asked me "Do you really feel its necessary to own a gun"? I responded: "I hope it is never necessary for me to own a gun. But if the need does arise, it will be too late to go buy one."

Point being: In the USA the police are a reactionary force. The courts have ruled in this country that citizens have no legal expectation of police protection. This ruling arose out of a case where a citizen tried to sue the police for failing to protect them from a crime. Consequently, my safety is my responsibility and I take that responsibility seriously.

The "need" always arises when you least expect it. Semper Paratis.

None sadly because I live in Canada. However, even though I don't own one, just about every nut does (they get them illegally, it's very easy). This is one of the main reasons why gun laws fail.

Excellent point. I don't understand how people can think that police will always be there when they need them. People need to take responsibility for their own personal safety.

hey all,

I have a taurus PT24/7, I bought attachments for it too! a flashlight with a laser pointer. So far i'd say the gun is real smooth. I still have to tweak the laser pointer, its still not at 0.

Anyways what weapons do you guys have or are getting?

dbzee_cool

DAMN My bro has that gun, its incredible

Sig definitely makes fine firearms, but they are kinda pricey. Given the opportunity I would buy one.

I dont own any, but my cousin in Juarez Mexico owns an M-16 along with a typical 12- Gauge Shotgun. And no, he's not a drug trafficker or involved in Narcotics, Mafias and such. He's happily married. We have a photo of him and his bebeh and lovely wife! :D

If you want one on a budget then get a Sig P6. They're superb pistols, reliable, accurate and can be had for less than $300.

revolvers have alot of recoil, dbzee_cool

Some do and some don't. Recoil has to do with the caliber of the firearm, the bullet loading used, the physical size/weight of the gun, if the gun has a muzzle break, is compensated or ported.
