No movie, since I saw it as a child, has scarred me as much.

SPOILER ALERT!!!
The only part that really scares me in Alien is the part it explodes out of John Hurt's chest, otherwise I think it's quite a weak sci-fi movie overall. :?

The Thing, the feeling that movie creates of paranoia and isolation is just fantastic. Nothing can even compare.

Forgot about The Thing. Must admit that film is disturbing and menacing throughout.
I haven't seen too many horror movies, and the few I have seen didn't scare me in the least (though I did enjoy them). Most of the movies that scared me when I was younger were totally random things on TV that I never learned the names of.
Yet to check out Paranormal Activity , might check it out this weekend :)

It's incredibly boring, and nothing happens until the last 5 minutes.
You might as well just fast forward to the ending.
I caught The Witches on TV recently for the first time since forvever, and I forgot just how much that part freaked me out as a kid. The movie isn't nearly as good as I remember (some of the acting is pretty awful), but the part with the girl trapped in the painting and the witches' conference in the hall were as creepy as I remember. I also found Anjelica Huston pretty damn sexy.
for me it has to be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,it scared the hell out of me,especially the noise of the chainsaw,I can't help picturing myself getting cut by that psycopath. gtarangerSame.
Rosemary's baby wasn't jump out and scare you creepy, but the psychological implications of it were really disturbing :|
