LSD, you can get stuck in your triphormagaunt

I don't think that's true. Although I have known people who became very angry because of Alcohol.

Toss up. I've driven drunk and tried to hurl myself through a locked door while on acid.

I've never heard of getting stuck in a trip, just big time users having flashbacks later on in life.

Alcohol by far. You simply have to look at death stats to know that's true.

Considering how good alcohol is at inhibiting your common sense apparatus (read: brain), I'd go with it. LSD just sends you on a trip in which you become separated from yourself. You can end up harming yourself but not much else. People get drunk and drive... and risk the lives of everyone on the road. On LSD I doubt you would care enough to know how to start the car let alone drive it... you would be to interesting in the coloured lights on the dash.

The effects of LSD and similar psychedelic drugs (Psilocybin, Mescaline, etc.) are so highly overblown. Yes, you can kill yourself by ODing on LSD... but you can with practically every other drug out there, legal or no. I wish LSD (and the others) were legalized, then perhaps there would be a lot more easy going people in the world.

I think both can be equally dangerous depending where the person is when using either one.

Yes, you can kill yourself by ODing on LSD...foxhound_fox

You can? I'd like to see some proof that a generally nontoxic substance has killed via overdose.

Never heard of an overdose on LSD. But water is a nontoxic substance that can kill you if you drink too much of it.

"Estimates for the lethal dosage (LD50) of LSD range from between 200 µg/kg to more than 1 mg/kg of human body mass, though most sources report that there are no known human cases of such an overdose."

Alcohol, smoking and alcohol are the top 2 reasons for deaths in Canada and drugs are lower down the list. Stats might be different for you ladies and gentlemen in the USA.

Thanks. So it's possible but likely to never have happened. That would be absolutely absurd to take that much.

Alcohol is more dangerous, however, for ME, it would probably be LSD.

When I drink, I don't drink in super-excess and I certainly don't drive.

Neither have had a negative effect on me or anyone else I know. However, I'll say LSD because it is powerful and if you don't respect and use caution you can really screw yourself over. However, if you use it it responsibly it can change you for the better.
